My advice is live around Taipei Main Station area for it's the main transport hub thus easier to venture out..

I highly recommand CityInn Plus, its just near XMD exit 5. I stayed in Royal Castle, East Dragon and CityInn Plus in my past 2 trips to TW.

The room is much bigger compared to Royal Castle and East Dragon. They have free movies installed in their TV console. Best part is, they have a basement lobby, where u can rest while waiting to go airport after checking out. Have free coffee, free pc to use internet and TV too.

I booked for last aug, 2 months in advance. $60+ for 1 person room. $90+ for 2 persons room. The room size different not that big.

Not sure if the rate changed.

I think most only accomodate like 4 to a room even for private apartments. I will stay in a place called hotel puri coming July. A room for 4 cost like 3200NT, room for 3 about 2680 or so.

currently staying in one at ximending itself... it's call "good 9 stay" .... about $120 per night for a room for 3....so should be cheaper for 2 bedders... =)
