Ear Impression required to ship overseas?

How to ship?

By Singpost , DHL , UPS, speedpost

all has their own pros and cons, the higher the cost , the fast it can be delivered

Objective : To ship Ear Impression in a safe and cheap(less than $10) manner

Writer Experience? I have been shipping packages since the early day of magic the gathering cards(export) around 1995.

below is some evidence

Tutorial Start!!

Step 1

Find a Box for your impression, just a small one will do
place the ear impression inside, you can add some foam/newspaper to hold them in place.

see below , example using an Sennheiser IE80 with Custom Earmold

Step 2

Get a Bubble Envelope, a small one will do

below is the postpac envelope from singpost, is $1.20 if I am not wrong, I usually keep a lot of them in my storeroom

Step 3

Place the small box(impressions inside) into the bubble envelope

they will weigh the package and advise how much

in this example, the weight is 150gm

Step 6

Pay money :p

we will discuss on how to ship

we will use this method
Standard Regular Mail - Letters/Printed Papers/Small Packets (AIR)

add $2.20 for registered mail, highly recommended!

from my years of mailing , rarely there are lost mail, lost mail usually due to wrong address written or package damage.

The price to ship to US = $5.65 + $2.20 = $7.85
The price to ship to China = $3.90 + $2.20 = $6.10

savings? at least $25

4 days more? I think is worth it

see below

Final Words

be open to ideas and suggestions

for those planning to send their iem back for refit, the more costly ems service will be more apt?

IC , u were referring to refit, sorry I was referring to my topic , ear impression

There is a insured service by singpost, just need to pay, but also require proof of purchase

But from what I see, this will not be so applicable to refit, because u will be shipping your new ear impression together with your iem, so sender must take note of the size of the packet

From experience since 1995, zero lost item by registered mail

And as usual, your experience maybe different from mine
