Hi. There should be quite a number of people who have gotten or are going to get this phone. I'm interested to know where to get casing + screen protector locally?

Martin Fields screen protector only sure is expensive.

Anyone tried the Nillkin case + screen protector from ebay / gmarket?

I didn't get a casing for this, since I might be bringing it for NS men related activities. Must leave the back cover exposed and ready for the MSD sticker ma. So I bought a $19.90 pouch instead from E Hub at JCube.

Anyway, my Huawei Honor has run for 2 whole days and 22 hours liao on the power saving mode with light use. Been using whatsapp, sms, a few phone calls and minimal web browsing only. 23% battery left. How's your battery life for the phone?

followed instructions on xda-developers [Q] How to root Huawei U8860(Honor) with Android 4.0

I realised when I plug in the phone at the pink screen, two unknown devices named Huawei Technologies were detected. this prevented me from browsing to the image folder. any ideas? dont want to be stuck without root, want to install SuperCharger :(

on the Russian original 4.0.3 ROM from the link given by DigDub.

u can get it from here i think the cheapest around...
huawei honor

Actually to apply the screen protector wo bubbles is very easy... what u need is some scott tape.. first peel of the internal sheet... align the screen protector with one "long" side of the phone and then slowly paste in.. while pasting u exert abit of force on the screen protector such that it "bent" against the LCD as it slowly paste over... if got bubble due to dust then peel up and use scott tape to stick away the dust...it is so easy... all the screen protector i apply is all perfect..

Of cos u need to prepare yr phone by cleaning it properly wo dust and yr body oil.. do it in a aircon room and away from any air movement so that dust will not land on yr lcd screen...;)
