Coming out from the supermarket, we split up to do our own shopping or in my friend's case to cut and wash his hair. Me tired from all the window shopping and photo taking, bought myself a blueberry shake and settled into the cosy armchair at a cafe snoozing off a little for the next couple of hours. :D

At 5.30pm, we met up to go for our dinner. To our surprise, my friend came back with a 800 baht worth of "birdnest". Mind you, we are not talking about the edible birdnest here but the one on his head, err... hairdo. :D Apparently, some miscommunication due to language barrier resulted in the hairstylist perming his hair.

A taxi ride later and we are at the entrance of the Majestic Grande Hotel.

Noticed this brightly coloured Flora Arrangement on the way up to the 7th floor where the restaurant is located.

Dine@7 - On their website, they described the place as a sparklingly modern coffee shop, with its open-air terrace overlooking the pool area, offers a friendly welcome for all-day dining.

We are here for their Sizzling Surf N Turf BBQ Dinner Buffet for which we have bought the vouchers from an online site for 499 baht.

Dining Area - It's Friday night but there were hardly any people dining here. Ours was the biggest group of seven and there was another table with four ladies, the rest are just couples occupying a few tables.

Alfresco Dining Area - Given the hot and humid weather in Bangkok, I wouldn't want to sit out in here.

Swimming Pool - The open-air terrace was overlooking the pool area. To the left side was the gym room.

This is the Outdoor BBQ and Noodle Station. They also cook the pasta here.

Dory Fish Terrine

106-Dine_7.JPG

Tuna and Octopus Sashimi - Strangely enough, they do not have salmon sashimi. Though I did not try it, my friends told it they are just average grade.

Assorted Sushi - Nothing of fancy here.

Dory en papilllote - Though dory is a cheap fish but this was kind of nice with herbs baked in aluminum foil so it retained the moisture.

111-Dine_7.JPG

Fish Maw Soup - Saw my friend eating this but I kept forgetting to go scoop some for myself. The fish maw are cooked in large pieces which should gave it more bite.

Beef with Garlic & Pepper and Fried Tofu with Minced Pork

Beef Borginon

Slow Braised Squid - I did not try it but doesn't longer cooking time make the squid even tougher?

116-Dine_7.JPG

This Confit Duck Legs with Carrot Puree look interesting but it was just too dried and tough to be palatable.
