I know how to get to fastboot but dunno how to flash using pc. U need to install anything on the pc to flash? Wat software is needed to flash?

Tried find in xda b4 but can't find much info.

You get fastboot by pressing the power button and vol up (side nearest power) together (may be down, can't recall clearly now).

Flash from PC only when the mediapad shows FASTBOOT, otherwise the PC cannot detect it.

You can search the xda mediapad forums for a bit more instructions. I got max of 7050 Antutu at 1.7GHz, and it does reboot occasionally, maybe once a week when I'm not using. It does not reboot when playing games, even something intensive like Galaxy on Fire 2.

It does reboot sometimes when I use GPS.

It's a really fine tablet anyway, still the BEST one with 3G and phone functions.

Here:
How To: Install ADB and Fastboot on your Windows computer for use with your Android phone | dotTech

Read the article to understand, there's a link to prepackaged fastboot.

XDA has some technical discussions on fastboot, not suitable unless you are hacking the kernel.

Noted with thanks. wow so complicated...

Ah, somewhat long article but after you unzip, you just need to run a cmd prompt, set the system variable and type 2 commands.

It's a bit anticlimactic compared to the stuff you need to read :s8:

Note stylus is a wacom pen, only works on the Note.

I have tried various standard capacitive styli and they do work, but results are iffy. I have read that the Adonit Jot series do work great, but haven't gotten one yet.

Do share results if you've gotten one.

Just to clarify that any stylus that can work on iPad should work on the MediaPad also right?

Yes, it should. I've only tested the normal rounded tip types so far. I was also looking at the C-Pen of Galaxy S3 but reviews have confirmed that it only works on the S3. What a bummer.

My battery life can hardly last a day with 3G on and light use. Maybe only around 8hrs. On ics 4.0.3. Anyone know how to prolong the battery life?

I use an app to save battery: juicedefender. it works great since it will disable 3g connection when it is not being used. It only turn on every 10 minutes (if i am not wrong) for apps to fetch data in idle mode. Well, i did not take note on how much it improves the battery, but it is quite good app.

Huawei Mediapad

Hi

I visited COMEX last week and realized Huawei did not promote the 7' Mediapad 3G tablet but just the Mediapad FHD and the Mediapad Lite

I checked with Challenger as well but it looks like they are not selling as well. Do you know where I can go to purchase this unit? I like this tablet because it is giving 1280 by 800 screen resolution. And what is the expected price at the moment?

And I must say the FHD looks GOOD but price is a little steep.

Regards
Bob
