How come my study guide haven't come after i've paid for it for like 1.5 weeks already!

some peeps got it within 2 days!

within 2 days?!!!.. how is tt even possible.. im waiting for mine too hope to receive the email tt they haf destach the parcel. i paid mine the moment it opened...still no reply on the delivery..

anyways i see ppl complain abt the SIM eating our heads.. UOL is no better.. charging so much can jus provide some online lectures to cover some tough topics at least.. the worst is now everyone degree holders.. its the new O'Level's ...

Is the same when ppl have the thinking where experience teacher are better. For MA, U see joanna is good but is her notes...I was surprise ppl are chosing balwant rather than MOK... mok got teach ma in part time, so i though he would be more popular.

Aiya, not that im pessimistic..but complain also no use..they wont turn back on their policy.

only way is to deregister from SIM and dont put up with their crappy lecturers..or just crash for classes.

they have so much money to renovate all the toilets but no money to print notes ?!

everywhere in sch also so crowded.

I also dun like it when they say they won't print hard copy notes for us. To imagine that our notes sometimes are really so thick and printing it ourselves will cost is a huge bomb of $$. Shouldn't have said no notes given to us. I still feel that they should continue giving us hard copy notes ah. Haiz....

my 1st lecture for ebiz was worse. whole class dun have notes cuz SIM staff say they forget that Mr Quek had a 330pm class since it was an additional class due to too many students taking ebiz so they nvr print the notes

I don't have the same problem as you. But you can try calling Gemworldwide at 69080210. I did that when I found out that I was given the wrong SG.

Is textbook really essential for preparation of exam for Corporate Finance and Principles of Banking and Finance?

cant comment on PBF, but i took CF.

For CF subject guide and notes quite sufficient for pass.

But to score, i recommend you do further reading using the textbook for the theory part of the paper. In order to score for theory your answer has to be more concise than explained in the subject guide. Imagine everyone memorise subject guide answer and all write down the same thing. Therefore in order to impress the examiner, u nid to demonstrate further understanding.

Calculations wise it is pretty standard, practice PYP enough alrdy.

wat i did is i borrowed the txtbk from library and photocopied the theory parts. If u think that is too tedious u can buy the textbk.

btw my lecturer is johnny tan korkor.

well i dun think its the shipment problem i got the parcel soon after i register but only got 3 sg instead of 4
was thinking that its UOL side tat left out my SG

I mean it's one thing that they are printing notes in batches but it's another thing to have no notes for lectures because some irresponsible students take them and the admin does nothing to prevent this and it's really unforgiveable that SIM forgot about the Ebiz lecture. And now they want the students to print their own notes? Really ridiculous. Why should we be the one who pay for SIM inaptitude?

I suggest u open a facebook page and start this awareness. follow by writting petition using legal means. how? i not sure.

for PBF don't need.just study guide and pyp is enough. but I took the exam last last year. not sure if there's any change to syllabus or examiner or exam style. so just take my comment w a pinch of salt.

my first lecture for FR also no notes so I called helpdesk to print for my class. it was only delivered to us 20mins before class end. so we didn't had notes for almost the entire lesson. did your class check w the SIM staff?
