Took me 2 days to upgrade to JB due to the driver issue also...

For step 3, did you choose Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer -> Have Disk -> Browse instead of Search for driver software in this location?

Thanks for your patience. Managed to get pass step 4 with code 10 error displayed. Now stuck at step 5 - can't power up the tablet by pressing the power+vol down buttons with usb cable connected. Also can't power up when I tried the power+vol up which I used to go into recovery mode.

Think mine is CZ version as the there is 'CZ' in the serial number behind the tablet.

If not mistaken, it doesn't matter if u cant boot up to recovery mode during power+vol. Check ur rk3066 tool while power+vol whether it turns green. If not, turn on or off USB debugging n try.

Once done, u r a step closer to JB.

Yes almost every users have popping sound. N7 no microSD and HDMI out. If these 2 very impt then no need look at N7 liao.

hmmm i never research this model before maybe someone here can answer you. btw qoo10 selling teclast tablet for only 79 dollars, go take a look see if it suits your needs since you don't mind laggy tablets lol

Instructions are sieved from subsequent posts in slatedroid. After step 4, off tablet. Run Rockchip Batch Tool and load img file. Unplug usb cable from PC but, not from tablet. Then press vol up and hold it while plugging the usb cable back to PC. Rockchip Batch Tool will now recognise the tablet and show the green box. Just click on upgrade and viola - JB!

Any N90 users who have problem loading youtube HD videos fully? Some youtube HD videos will always stop at the same point.

Read from slatedroid that using youtube 4.0.8 for JB will resolve this issue. Installed this version and still faced the same problem. Any solutions?

Welcome... Have fun on JB... The upgrade is the only major pain otherwise this tablet is overall good

I didn't need to do the power plus volume button combination. I just turned off debugging mode and the Rockchip tool recognised the tablet right off.

Suggest N90 users install speaker booster app to get around the tablet's weak speaker. I find the volume from N90 comparable to iPad after boosting to 100%. Don't expect the same sound quality though.

Found a new version of YouTube 4.1.23 that plays HD youtube videos without problem on N90. N90 users should download from google playstore to try it out.

Finally sorted out the issues with my N90.

Some pictures and first impression of it.

lol shouldn't have got all these accessories in the 1st place. Made my shipping cost dam expensive! Anyway it includes the wall charger, keyboard case, USB LAN, earphone extension cable, earphone splitter, tablet stand and HDMI cable.

Lockscreen when i first turned it on. Only had 7% of battery life left . The IPS screen is really dam clear though. Even though i've set it to 0%, its considered bright(as in not as dark as my iPad). Touchscreen is really responsive. No problem accessing PlayStore and Youtube. This is the only 10.1" i have so nothing to compared other than my iPad.

This is the aliminium back of it. If u ask someone who don't know much about tablets, they will tell u that it isn't a China tablet. It feels super dam solid. I've tried Samsung Galaxy Note 10.2 and Tab 2 before and those 2 don't feel as solid as this(N101) largely due to the plastic back as compared to this one which has an aluminium back. Nice touch holding it and it's also much thinner as compared to my V711(sold).

Thickness compared to an iPad 3. It's just a bit thicker as the iPad 3's screen is abit popped out of the frame as u can see carefully in the picture.

Even though both tablets are dual core but RK3066 definitely scored better in the benchmarks that I've done up till now.
