good for you.

speaking of refill water.. most of the time i need to ask then they refill. reminds me of square, ask for water act blur, i go self service ask me to call for her..:s22:

Is it local who provide good service to you or other nationality ?

good service is rarer than the blue moon.

Most of the places i eat at employ foreigners rather than locals, so my experience is not a good measure, but i personally feel that foreigners tend to provide better service.

Its probably our culture ... local serving staff tends to be more efficient n polite, but lacks warm n just do wat you ask for.

Foreign service staff tends to be more friendly, warm n go the extra mile.

Of cos, good service, whether from local or foreigner, tends to be the exception rather than norm.

Sunday brunch at Forest, Equarius Hotel, RWS

Opened by local celebrity chef Sam Leong, n his wife, Forest, this is also a cooking school. No sign of them tat day though.

Nice decor, bright n airy. The restaurant overlooks the lush greenery of Espa (you need to check out their turkish bath setup!)

The salmon sashimi actually quite fatty, unfortunately its cut too thinly. The bite suffered as a result. Gave them feedback abt this, hope they will improve ... well i will know soon :D

OMG was my first tot when i saw these. Unfortunately, the crab legs were lousy. Salty, n not fresh. Worse crab legs i ate at a buffet. :( Sigh. To tink the ones at Starz were so so good .

Some of their hot dishes in the spread.

Cod fish with raddish (nice!)

Egg with prawns

Their eefu noodles is really very good. We had quite a few servings. Really cannot resist. Got wok hei, moist, lots of flavor yet not too salty. Delicious!
EmzcQ.jpg

Smoked duck with celery n cashew nuts. Later, big mushrooms n fish cake appeared in the dish too :s8: The smoked duck not bad. Not too salty, not dry n fragrant.

Pork belly with spices. I dun like. Too little fat despite it been pork belly, so the meats dry.

Chai poh cod fish. 1 of my fav dishes. They used decent quality cod fish. You can actually taste the milkiness of the fish.

Some soup ... my partner said its lobster/crab meat, but it looks more like egg white to me :s8: I like the soup though. Light, but with a pleasant taste. Not too starchy too.

Roasted duck in crepe

Their roasted duck is good too. Tender, juicy with crispy skin.

THE BEST way to eat a duck drumstick! A bit uncivilised considering the surroundings, but who cares =:p

They had dim sum too. Normally, buffet tim sum sucks, but considering the owner's background, i tot to give them a chance ... :s22:

Stuffing too sweet n too sparse, but the bun is fluffy.
