I was wondering the same thing. The box and back of the tablet says its a CZ model, and the set comes default with 4.1.1 JB (dated 0907-CZ variant) from Yuandao (I'm assuming they won't screw up by installing the wrong version.

yuandao happen before screw up by installing the wrong version. their new products quality has drop loh. you will get use to china tablet soon :s13:

there always has software bug in the yuandao Rom, you may try use the custom ROM at slatedroid forum side to chks whether it helps or nor.

Confirmed my set is a BZ set, installed the BZ firmware and brightness can be adjusted. Seems like most of the customer firmware are based on the CZ firmware, can't find any for BZ so far. My next problem now is to get full market access, some of the apps can't be found, e.g. Gameloft games like Nova while games like blood brothers is listed as incompatible. Any help would be appreciated.

Hmm I text-ed them, maybe I should try email. Thanks guys looking forward to get my first MIC tablet and make full use of the bucks :):)

I am looking at 10.1 or 9.7 size tables any intro ?

I was recommended by audigy93 for n90ii but recently fukuno just took it down. not sure if they are still bringing in.. I think they are updating their webby.

Looking at n101 but apparently they only have the first version :/

Ysd I checked they removed 9.7 and 7 inches section

and I checked again today they only have 7 and 8 inches section as of now.

Maybe I should wait for a few days before reaching out to them for them to update their web.

You can try calling them directly.. faster that way.

I ordered last week a Momo 8 and Onda V711.. they called me in the morning today to inform me that they will be sending it to me tonight after doing the QC check.

N90ii was removed could be due to the launching of N90 with retina screen on 26Oct.
I just received my N101 last sat. they confirmed my order on 10 Oct and I recd my tablet on 20Oct. So far v satisfied w the Battery life and HDMI output. I only use it for watching movies and dramas so far.
Just one stupid thing abt the HDMI is when u plug in, both tv n tablet has sound coming out so I plug in headphone on the tablet. The wifi is not v good. my router is in the living hall, and if I use it in my room, signal drops to only 1 bar.
and fukuno say tablet can only charge to 99% but mine did charge to 100%. I didn't upgrade to Jellybean yet cos I scare I spoil the tablet if not install properly. hee

abt fukuno, replies pretty responsive and they r quite detailed when they handover the N101. Steven will share the pros and cons.

I just receive a message from them and they asked me to probably wait for a few days. They told me that they will be updating new models.

I'm using N101 v2. wifi is okay for me, about 2-3 bars, able to charge to 100% as well. :)

same. it charges to 100%.
The wifi is okay for me since my room is only 1 wall away from the router.

As for JB update, I read that the firmware isn't that good and got some errors which require you to put to 100% brightness to avoid some beeping noise. There are those who upgraded to JB and subsequently downgraded back to ICS as it's more stable

new official rom out for n90 dual core 2, anyone can help point to a guide on how to upgrade the firmware and root the set?

realised alot of apps can't be found in Google play store, e. g. gameloft games, some apps also can't be install as Google play store says incompatible with device

Only after reading your posts then i realise my n101 that i flashed to official 4.1.1 also cannot access the games u said. It has the "Your device isn't compatible with this version" error for blood brothers.

the reason u can't see is becos your device rom is detected as china tablet or something, if you flash your rom and identify it as nexus 7, you can access the entire app store :)

Also curious how to identify it as nexus 7. First time user of tablet here so confused. I managed to flash to 4.1.1 following the very clear and detailed instructions here.

I paste Link here in case anyone needs it too:
http://www.topnotchtablets.com/sites/default/files/RK3066updateProcess.pdf

But i have no success rooting the device.

EDIT:
I managed to root my 4.1.1 N101 using instructions from here.
http://vondroid.com/threads/how-to-root-jelly-bean.1050/

But still figuring out how to identify it as nexus 7 to get full market

If your N101 is version 2, with the plastic cover by the side, just install the TNT version of the 4.1.1 firmware, it would fix the market issue

Else, download a build.prop editor/ ES file manager and search online for guides to edit the build.prop file. There are quite a few examples.

However, editing the build.prop file didn't work for me, I had to edit the xml files in the /etc/permissions/ folder before I could see all the Gameloft games and install Blood Brothers.

Even after that, GT Racing:Motor Academy did not work for me, and Blood Brothers had a bit of flickering in between the loading screen, although the game ran fine. Had yet to test with the rest of the games

Mine is version 1.
I tried to follow instructions from here:

A. Backup /system/etc/permissions (just take a copy with ES file explorer or root explorer.recommended just in case)
B. copy the xmlfiles files into /system/etc/permissions (android.hardware.location.gps.xml, android.hardware.location.xml, com.android.location.provider.xml, tablet_core_hardware.xml) agree to over write all of them
C. Make sure the file permission are rw-r-r (with ES file explorer, long tap then change properties on each file..to help you out all files in that directory need to be rw-r-r)
D. Go to settings->apps->all and tap Google Play Store
E. Click on Clear data
F. REBOOT tablet

market still not working

Go to settings->apps->all Go to “Google Play Store” again
‘Clear Cache’ if it lets you then ‘Force Stop’ — DO NOT Clear data

back and Go to “Google Services Framework”
‘Clear data’ then ‘Force Stop’

REBOOT your machine.

Then after reboot market is still not working.. then go into..
settings->apps->all google play store again open it but this time clear data if it lets you..

thats it exit open market up, login and you should now have full market access....Youtube...Facebook....

BUT i cannot copy the xmlfiles files into /system/etc/permissions.
The directory is read only and i dunno what to do. Googled so many pages but still cannot change permissions.
Its driving me nuts!!!

I followed the same instructions but did not encounter any problem writing to the permissions folder. Maybe you can try changing the access of the folder to write - long press on the folder using es file explorer and go to properties

I did that but it shows
Readable: Yes
Writable: No

And there are no options for me to change the writable option.

Used root explorer, ES file explorer etc all cannot change.

Edit: i dunno wat i did but now i managed to change the permission using root explorer.

Edit 2: After doing the steps, my google play stopped working. When i tried to restore my backup, my wifi not working anymore :(
Tonight going to flash the whole rom again. Dun care about the google play store full market oredi...
