Hi pencil2012!

That's right! It's an audit position. However, I heard PwC job conversion rate (from intern to perm staff) is lower. though quite alot of people I spoke to told me PwC is much more prestigious! I would prefer PwC personally. :))

Assuming its audit position you've been offered, I would choose pwc. But then, I'm in the firm so my opinion is biased. :s13:

Anyway, both will offer you a full time position upon completion, so this isnt really a factor you should consider.

I feel Pwc is better as well. Go for it.

It should be fine, if you are from a local university. So far, I only know 1 confirmed case from my intern batch who didnt get offered. No one knows why too. Dunno whether its an oversight by HR.

If you do want to get a full time position in pwc, I would say do the internship. PwC is hiring fewer A1s. There are only 4 batches this year, and quite a number of them are interns. Competition for the remaining places for non interns is quite stiff.

they lax the rules. just need to change engagement partner, don't need switch firm.
no la...

for SGX listed companies, change partner is enough

but for FS institutions, still need to change firms. But usually is just pass away then 5 years later get it back. Still, at anyone time, KP will have the most.

Winter internship? When's yr start date? With the severe shortage of A1s this year, you will prob get to do quite a bit of actual work. :)

Anyway, welcome to the firm in advance. Have fun!

Yup! Winter intern. It will start on 10 dec. I can't wait to start in fact! Nevermind bout the heavy workload or OT! So long as I get to learn new things and apply whatever we learnt. I believe there should be quite alot of interesting things to see out there!

Hi seniors, need some guidance here.

I just got into my very first full time job less than 2 months at a small audit firm, and today I received an email from deloitte saying I got selected for their audit internship, which will be starting on mid Dec and last for about 4 months. Anyway, I will be sitting for my last acca paper this coming Dec and hopefully seeing a pass next feb.

Wanna seek for opinions on the following questions before reverting back to the HR by this Friday.

1.What are the chances of getting converted to Full time upon completion of internship.

2. For most of you in this forum, will u actually take the risk and quit your current job and join the internship at Deloitte ?

Thanks everyone in advance for their valuable input. :)

1) should be 80-90% chance of conversion.

2) if finances are not a concern for the next 6months, taking the risk might be a good option

Hi Folks! Really need some help here >.<

I'm currently a final year student at NBS Accounting, graduating next May. As I'm currently on exchange overseas, I got an interview with PwC during their early application graduate recruitment. But recently, I got their rejection email. It's been my dream to work at PwC and I was so disappointed when I got their rejection.

I heard that some firms will recruit again in Jan 2013. How true is this?
I also do not have the chance to apply for winter internship with big 4 since I am overseas now :(

Is this the end of my big 4 career? T.T
If I applied for summer internship 2013, do you think they will offer me a job after I end my internship? or should i just start hunting for a job elsewhere?
