Seems the best deal was the Vertex 4 512GB @ US$299. High performance at a very low $/GB ratio. So far none of the deals seem to be able to match up to that.

can't beat vertex3 120gb for $50, lowest at $0.41/gb.

I don't consider the vertex 3 in the same class in terms of performance or reliability as the vertex 4. Numerically the best value, but not something I would buy :o

wondering which is the more reliable brand and model... based on price i would consider the OCZ or Sandisk. But RMA for OCZ need to send to taiwan? how about sandisk? if buy on amazon they willing to cover warranty here too ya?

seems like prices in singapore also getting competitive.. i mean if include the hassle and shipping costs...

if warranty is a concern over cheaper pricing, just buy in SG.

is just that simple.

you lose some. gain some. why so greedy?

greedy? im not even comparing down to the very last cents.

Cmon, you may not be someone who compare price, but I do not consider it greedy to get one's value. Just asking a question and it doesnt seem your post is helping at all :s8:

SG prices will be only get competitive when such threads like this is created as awareness. If not, the prices will not be dropping anytime soon. Even though the prices drop, they are still exorbitant bar the local warranty support. As long as the difference in pricing + shipping is sgd$50 or more, it is better to buy ssd online than locally. IMHO my 2 cents.;)

chill bro~ he's trying to tell you that you cant have the cake and eat it too..

SSD is so cheap in the states, yet every other new user comes into the thread and asks for even more. From free shipping to international warranty coverage. Only you can justify yourself if its worth paying for the SSD factoring shipping and risking the warranty or paying more for local sets for the warranty coverage.

i mean seriously, why do people expect a parcel to sit in an aeroplane, reach sg in 3 days and not expect to pay at least $20? :s22:
