I actually have a qn. Why play 4-4-2 when we played 4-3-3 so well last season?

Cabaya out till Feb 2012, Tiote going away in Jan for African cup. We are really thin in central midfield area where last season that is our strongest department. :(

Somehow, I feel the Europa League is one of the causes for this poor run.

CH Norwich beat Sundaland last night 2-1. Will we be fighting relegation together with our neighbour Sundaland??

Somehow, I feel the Europa League is one of the causes for this poor run.

I beg to differ. Any team that knows it has got more matches to compete in the following season should be to increase his squad size and not to decrease it.

Newcastle acted like a dumbass and sold fringe players like Guthrie (for free somemore) and Leon Best thinking they have outgrown them were clearly mistaken.

Additionally, the successes of bargain buys like Tiote and Cabaye has led to the increase in ego for Mike Ashley, Pardew and Carr. Cases in point: Debuchy, Douglas, Luuk De Jong. Newcastle felt that they have this need to do the best out of each deal and won't give in just a tad more to get them.

That's fine, but if you don't have players to replace departed ones, you should be willing to bite the bullet and not keep acting like you are some kind of miner and that every stone you dig will be uncovered as some sort of gems.

Frankly speaking, that might change in January, but because it is a mid-season transfer window, it is not going to make it anymore favorable for us to get players.

In summary I think we are the victims of our own successes (in the transfer market). Teams that we approached for their players know about our ability to uncover gems and that would want to make them jack up their prices a little (Lille were forced to sell Cabaye for like 5m. Do you think they will be so stupid to sell Debuchy on a cheap knowing that Cabaye is that big of a hit?)

I hope not. The last time we did something with them, we lost out and went straight down.

Nice win! Bigirimana got potential. Ben Arfa should be back next match to face Fulham.

damn it. we lost again~

u were expecting something with this kind of lineup?

Robert Elliot
Mike Williamson
James Perch
Shane Ferguson
James Tavernier
Gael Bigirimana
Sylvain Marveaux
Mehdi Abeid
Shola Ameobi
Sammy Ameobi
Nile Ranger

maybe Bordeaux's reserve team also sounds better

Wasn't an important game. We had already qualified for the next stage.

Another lost. Our passing this season really poor. Simple passing w/o being hassle by opponent also cannot find our own player.

This season if we can mainatin at 14th position, we are lucky.

is Ba leaving???? fianlly Ben arafa scored one

I dun mind him leaving. Cisse should be playing central attacker role that why he is wearing No.9 jersey. Pardew is trying to accomodate Ba and letting him play the central striker. And that kills off Cise.

Cisse is always the better striker if given the proper support. Let Ba leave but buy in another striker who can link up better with Cisse.
