Sometimes used Cisco (business/enterprise-class, not those linksys-turned-Cisco) routers can be relatively cheap too, especially those auctioning off in bulk. ;)
I more used to configuring fortigate plus if my company continues using their products i can secretly download and install firmware for free.

There is new line consumer wireless routers which we have been testing. Initial testing results have been very positive. They support IPv6 as well. Stay tuned and we will be posting some info on them.

You got a point there. Actually the transition should only affect the wireless segment. LAN should not be affected, well depends on how it's implemented on the router os. Gamers generally should be on wired since latency is paramount.

I don't recall the n66u skipping channels so much though I can see >20 aps in the evenings. It's only a rare channel change sometimes not at all from what I can see from the logs. It's generally stable so I left it on auto.

Hahahaha... Wait till u come my place. A simple 5 mins turn on of 'listening' tool and walah, easily 50 wireless devices liao. Listen for one hour, u will see very interesting 'auto-channel' changing among so many devices. Ever hit >150 in a quick 'listen' session before.

Some of the contents from China IPTV services are now starting to have geo-lock. Meaning if content is not licensed to broadcast outside China, you can't watch it from a non-China IP.

Even TVB contents also hardly on China IPTV services le...

Strange. I can't call out via the phone but incoming calls are fine. Keeps getting a fast busy tone. Anyone experiencing this?

It all depends on what your criterias are for the fiber broadband. List them down in sequential priority order and we can share our opinion whether VQ will fit your criterias or not.

If cheap price is listed on the top 2, then VQ is out for you.

Guess it's some of these rogue aps that cause trouble. Did a quick check on the n66u, no channel changes despite ~30aps around the area last night. :)

send to cs@viewqwest.com about my bill enquiries but got no reply.

I was billed the old filbernet 200 price of 95.95 for the period of 01/01/2013-31/01/2013 still but i already upgrade to the raptor 200 iptv bundle which is 89.95 since 31 oct. Any viewqwest rep can clarify/advise on this? :(
