Is it true that on the day of installation if i were to ask the technician to set up the router he will charge me for that? That is what i was told when i asked the M1 staff in the shop.

Anyone has any advise what has to be done if i really have to set it up myself after the installation?

there is a router setup charge of $32.10 if u required his assistance. actually it really depends, last time im also a installer, so just plug in and test lo.. some manage to get it free, i guess if u are nice to the person, he can help u.. just remember its not part of his job to setup router for you for free.

just run the asus rt66 CD wizard that comes in the box, just set your encryption to WPA2/AES for better performance.

if i got the time i do a print screen on the steps for u all =)

Hi all,

I am thinking of getting the s$39/month promotion. What other charges and devices that I would have to take note of before signing the 24-month contract?

Also, I kept on reading about wireless router, I am currently using linksys WAG160N, would this be sufficient?

Hi if you are a new user like me without any existing contract, then it's just $39/month. installation fee should be waived for this promo.

Not too sure about the router that you have but if u sign up with M1 u are able to purchase the Asus RTN66U router at $209. M1 do not provide any wifi routers but only the ONT.

WAG160N is a ADSL router. I doubt it can work as there is no input for a LAN cable point from the ONT. The input is for phone line only.

Usually, how long does it take for m1 to come and install the ONT from the date of signup?

What is the requirement of the wireless router that can be used for fibre broadband?

The wireless router that the m1 distributor recommended me is the linksys wireless n router. Is the Asus one better?
