Hey Mac shushu, i'm quite curious why did AMD not implement sideport memory that they had been implementing on 785G chipset for HD 4200 IGP on the APUs to mitigate the performance bottleneck issue faced by current APUs? Perhaps including a 256-512MB GDDR5 chip on board could make these iGPUs shine like no nights tomorrow.
I suspect cost is a issue. Having faster memory does indeed boost it's performance. Just clocking my Samsung green from 1600MHZ to 1866MHZ netted a 13% increase in FPS in SFIV (Benchmark).
