Just to check.
Thought thru out this match I never saw Wenger talking to Bould at all even though they were sitting together.
Any problem in between the two ?

Really lol at those who say Giroud should be drop.
He IS our ONLY real striker and has not been playing regularly.
Strikers need games to perform well.

And if we drop him. who can play striker ?
Walcott ? Podolski ? Gervinho ?
We tried all and it seems with Giroud in that role it's still the best solution........................

we didn't try podoski leh .. i really wonder why :s12::s12:

Forget about him lah.
Think it's him that Villa was dominating in the first half............

i actually felt he had a good game leh .. his switches with arteta ( who go up, the other stay back ) was quite fluid in my opinion .. but still abit too slack for my liking as a midfield .. the thing is our midfield no meat without him ...

i would really like song back if he can be more disciplined in terms of positioning

Just to check.

there are rumors of bust up due to wenger's ego ...

earlier in the season when we all praising bould's effect on defence, wenger's ego tio damaged .. goal.com ran a story abt tony banfield running a training session when wenger was sick .. didn't let bould lead the training although he is the assisant coach .. how true ?? no one knows though

Actually I'm surprised tt u guys mention tt giroud is another headless chicken. Yes he did miskick quite a few but his hold up and winning the ball in the air is great.

He din perform well for Blackburn game and he got drop out in the bayern game. Shd at least give him consecutive a few matches before judging him. Strikers shd get enough match games to be good.

I still like Giroud and I think he has already done well on the whole given this is his first BPL season, but last night's match was particularly woeful for hin because we had so many corners and he did not connect well with them, given his supposed air superiority . He seemed out of sorts and position and commentator even said Wilshere had to call out to him for support. A more instinctive striker would know where and when to position himself to connect with the passes/corners. Maybe as you said he needs more consistent starts to build an understanding with the team to maximize his potential but so do Poldoski and Walcott, hence the inevitable rotation.

Hopefully we will see his return to form in the derby with the Spuds... AVB said he wanted to 'unlock' AdebaBOO in future matches. I look forward to Wenger doing the same with Giroud next week.

The attendance numbers show a full house of 60,000 but I could see a lot of empty seats in the stands yesterday. Quite surprising. Wonder if some season ticket holders didn't turn up as a form of protest.

arsenal usually announce the amount of tickets sold, instead of attendance which many other clubs do. SO since the majority of the seats belongs to season ticket holders, who did not turn up, it did not rlly affect the attendence which they records.

you should rlly question the quality of our crossing thru' out the match or particularly, the past few weeks. the crosses just goto nowhere, and no one. even the corners and free kicks are like what div 2 teams can perform. ball to a target, tat simple. yet many a times, u see the ball either going too high (above giroud even when he leaps) or too low (not even beating the 1st man). this shld be something that the team practices every now and then. recalling in the early dec period where giroud scores and benefitted from so many quality crosses from walcott. Giroud is a threat in the air with good quality cross, but only when the team can provides them. walcott used to be doing it consistently, but since his demand to play more central, he seems uninterested to provide the service to others.. more willing to try and take a shot.

dunno why but the way the team is playing, it seems more like they're fighting relegation instead of competing for top 4. never truely took control of the game, never rlly dictates the play. wat i can see is a team desperate to win and throwing men forward, but rlly afraid of being hit by a counter. basically, u can see the team taking lots of possession but it seems alwys to be able to turn against them. when the balls are cleared away from the villa's penalty box, i alwys have this feeling tat if the team did not manage to get to it 1st we will suffer. and true, we did when weimann scores the 2nd goal of the game.

Giroud is just inefficient. He needs too many chances to convert one. Yesterday he had a few good ones which a quality striker would have converted. The free header at the end was a clear one. Then there were a few volleys he got horribly wrong. Against Bayern also he had a glorious chance which he shot straight at keeper.

He puts in the effort and creates opportunities but just not good enough to take more of them.
Against big opponents we get very few clear opportunities and we need to take them.

Whatever but he should be the one playing the striker role till the end of the season.
Unless you would rather Gervinho or Walcott play that role.

We have to use him because we don't have a choice. Then there is the hope that he will somehow become more clinical with his finishing.

Recent performance were too shoddy. We will lose the 4th spot if spurs doesn't self implode.

there is still 10 games to go and spurs confirm will drop points.it is up to arsenal to be ready to take advantage when it happens. it is hence imperative that we win the derby match against spurs.
