Haha, I see, do you suggest overclocking?
Don't bother unless you are very keen and got spare budget. You should just focus on getting the best graphics card you can afford and also a large SSD. Getting a system capable to OC will require another $100.

Maybe because my friend recommended sata 3.0. And it is a matx board with lesser features.

I still have like 2 more weeks before I buy so I'm trying to research as much as I can. Maybe you can give some advise again for this current built.

Monitor - dell ultrasharp u2312hm 23 led - $250
Gpu - msi 660ti pe - $484
Cpu and mobo - gigabyte h77 d3h mvp - $383
Ram - cosair vengeance 8gb - $79
Psu - Seasonic s12ii 520w - $78
Case - sharkoon t5 value - $65 (any other option with good ventilation? )
Hdd - seagate 1tb 7200rpm - $88 (does brand matter? If not can change to Hitachi)
Hp dvd rw - $25
Wireless adapter ( recommendations? )
Ssd plextor m5p series 128gb - $149

If you are looking for value for money build, can refer to moneyface or my recommendation. IMO, you don't need a lot of SATA 3 ports because only SSD can take advantage of its high bandwidth. Traditional HDDs are slower drives and can't take advantage of SATA 3. Features wise, what features are you looking for in H77 which is helpful to you as compared to B75?

IMO, gpu should change to 7970. Powercolor 7970 costs around $496 and its performance is way ahead of GTX 660 Ti. If you don't intend to overclock, value ram will do. And I have seen many people complaining about the reliability of seagate, WD or Hitachi is better.

I'm using both you and moneyface's advises, very helpful!

I thought B75 is sort of like business use mobo and was thinking will the mobo be potentially become a bottleneck to my system. I'm building towards a balance build.

Value ram meaning?

Powercolor 7970 right? Can you tell me which version is it from this link? PowerColor Official Website - Graphics, Cases, Power Supply

It's confusing because the price list from SLS only state powercolor h7970 3gb and I do not know which version they are referring to.

Value ram all those without heat spreader. Normally those OC rams are corsair vengeance, g.skill ripjaw, Kingston hyperX...

If I'm not wrong, Powercolor 7970 is V3 version.

Mobo (nowadays) does not affect computing performance. It will primarily come to play in terms of USB and SATA ports, and overclocking potential (neither H nor B are meant for overclocking).

I see, version 3.

One quick question, if i get B75 and i5 3750 CPU, unable to OC CPU because its a non k version right, if I get a k version with either B75 or H77 MOBO, I won't be able to OC the CPU right?
Just want to clarify because why i5 3750 state it can be OC to 3.8ghz.

And for GPU that state OC/PE/Lightning Editions, we can OC the GPU even without Z77 MOBO am I right?
