deadguy is right. and comolli is out of job, ill celebrate if we can get 15 mil for carroll.
but then ah, how about turning carroll into a **? he is good in the air. since skrtel and agger
cant clear set pieces and crosses.

many footballers become a good player changing position from the original they start with:s8:

"Rodgers insists Carroll will not leave for peanuts, but don't expect anywhere near the 'astronomical' £35m paid in the first place"

who will want to pay that money for carroll?

I thought I read somewhere that the loan deal to west ham comes with a clause that they have to buy him for £17 million if they are not relegated?

actually love or hate it, i think it is up to Rodgers to assess if he suits his system, his "history" here wont play a huge part of him coming back, unless he's holding a good striking record at the moment

He scored like 18 goals in all competition this season Leh

I would welcome him back with open arm as long we don't pay a single cent and Carroll is sold for 15m :D

another report claims that that was the original deal but we rejected it. the same report also claim that the last min deal that sent him to west ham on loan did not have this clause.

Good idea actually, our defence lacks aerial threat :s13:

There's a clause in there and even the West Ham's owner said it before however, they can screw us over by not agreeing to Carroll's personal demand. There's not much LFC can do if both parties can't agree with the contract.

Think West Ham will screw us over by asking us to pay part of Carroll's salary that he enjoyed under us. The same with Joe Cole's situation I believe.

Got to stop all this nonsense from such club always trying to take advantage,
I would rather have Carroll back playing for us ;)

I rather sell Caroll if we can. BR don't seem to be keen to use him so even if we take him back he might just be warming the subs bench at best.
Too expensive for a bench warmer I think.

Carroll os a fantastic player.there is no doubt abt that..

Its just that his style of play do not fit the liverpool style.simple as that. Its like how zlatan ibrahimovic was complaining how he had a hard time in barca cos they were just passing and he just got frustrated waiting for the ball to come to him

To me,carroll is still worth 17m or more.just that he needs to be in the right team with the right style.newcastle was a perfect marriage for him cos if u notice, they play along the wings well and feed the ball
To carroll well..

Pool wings are hardly fantastic to begin with.we play so much from the middle and we cut in. How many time have we seen a good cross coming in fr someone to ead in. Heck,i even gave up watching us score from corners. But thats also cos our strength is in the middle and thats how BR tactics are..which explains llayers like coutinho and henderson gettig the nod..they are players who flourish cutting in,making thru passes and go in one two runs

Rather than let his career go down, managers too have a responsibilty for the long term career of teir players. A player unhappy on the bench can create disharmony and break teameork..

To me,i wanna see carroll do well.but for him to do well, liverpool aint the place..

BR made a gd point when he said u revolve the team ard a spine of players.clearly that spine is where suarez is the pinnacle. U cant have two different models of play revolving with two different complete set of player.

To be fair,i feel sorry for the guy. He was put inside a team full on disjointed players under kenny playing weird football..

He had a price tag yet the team plays revolving ard other players or the worst, cant even give him a decent pass.

His strength lies in high balls but the season he was with us,we cant even feed a decent cross to the man

i witness strike partners:

keegan n toshack
king kenny and rush
heskey and owen
beardsley and aldridge
fowler and the spice boys.....

if you analyse, every good striker need help from others. no way they can win games alone.
so carroll i pity him because downing and gangs was crap in providing crosses service to him.
he cant play well with suarez becuase carroll is no ian rush. all this time we are missing a king kenny or a john barnes.. but i see that in coutinho.. and with suarez and sturridge partnership,
carroll best look elsewher.

honestly, carroll is worth maybe only 10m pounds, and that is because he is english, rather than the strike rate

Anyone offer £12 mil or more for Caroll and don't need us to continue paying part of his wages would be a decent deal.
Just take the money can spend on other players that BR will play
