6.75% bond with rights to subscribe share at U$1.291, price below par, so tempted to buy. I am aware that the company is badly indebted, what do you think?

the bonds and the warrants are now trading seperately

you buy the bonds, u wont get the warrants, you buy the warrants, you wont get the bonds

relax relax

I see, but 6.75% below par still best price in SGX, wanted to click already but really worry that end up throwing money into giant black hole

Hi I got few qns regarding this thing as I am new investor and still dunno much

1. How can I check the price of the bond/warrants?

2. I got 10 lots of Olam, I am entitled to 3130 bonds and 1620 warrants. I forgot about it and it have been lapsed. Then I found out actually got other 3 options, exercise or oversubscription or sell.

I want to ask if I sell that time, what are my profits?

Are you my clone???

anyway,

1) the bonds and warrants are listed on sgx already... just search for them

2) Too bad... the offer lapse and you don't have the bonds n warrants. Anyway if you were like me and sell the initial batch at near high, the rights were about US 0.20 so if you had 3130 rights, that would be USD 600+ that you missed.... but the rights did drop to about 6c which would have been about USD 180.

haiya :(
that account needs a minimum $3000 balance.
other banks charge $10 clearing fee, unless the cheque is drawn on
Local Clearing Participating Banks.. lets wait n see

yeah, that account needs a minimun total $3000 balance irregardless of currency. if cheque is a local bank, then no clearing fee, can just deposit in usd

Very informative thread on OLAM. I'm doing an analysis of OLAM currently.

The allegations made by Muddy Waters' founder Carson Block in November about discrepancies in Olam's finances is considered unsystematic risk. Any examples of systematic risk that caused the share prices to move?

Also, would a comparison of the 1% Convertible Bonds Due 2013 vs Perpetual Capital securities be a good reflection of the company's relationship between the price movements and the change in the price of ordinary shares?
