NTU/NUS/SMU 2013-2014 Intake

NTU vs NUS Science Undergraduate Courses

I need some advice here.

I have received 2 offer letters from NUS and NTU in early April. I got offered NUS Science (Chemistry); my 2nd choice, 1st was Life Sciences; and NTU Biological Sciences (direct entry into second year).

I haven't accept any of the offers yet. What do you guys think about the job prospects about these two? Part of me want NUS because of the reputation as it's not easy to get a placement while the other part of me want NTU because of the programme offered. Btw, I do not have much interest in the chemistry field.

What should i do? :(

Background info: Polytechnic graduate with Dip in Biomed from SP and cGPA >3.70.

Received offer from NUS for Computer Engineering two days ago. Last year NUS rejected me while NTU offered Common Engineering. Still waiting if there is any news from NTU. My UAS was 70.

Can i make an assumption that for those applying to NTU, as for now, if ur first choice had not been rejected, that means they are considering, or i have another guess is.. well they already considered and gona offer just that they will send all out in 1 go for those who enrol this year...maybe sometime next week or later date..

I went for the SMU IS interview on the 4th of April. My GPA is 3.78 and I was from SP BIT :s12:

Anyone knows how long it would take for NUS Letter of Offer to reach us? For my case, NUS said it was sent on April 8th, but I have yet to receive it.

A level : AAB/AB
applied for :-

SMU - Information System, interview on 12/4, received offer on 13/4
SUTD - information system, interview on 10/4, no offer yet
NUS - Information System, no offer yet
NTU - Comp science, no offer yet

If anyone needs help with SMU IS interview, please pm me !!

I received an email from NTU for an interview and a test. Going down on the 19th April. Anyone knows what are the chances of getting in from interviews? pretty worried about the interview questions sian

edit: oops i actually mixed FASS up with the humanities school in NTU. I didn't apply for NUS courses!

I'm having an interview next friday! I emailed them to ask about the test questions. The person replied me saying that there will be 2 comprehension questions. comprehension??:s22:

Anyways do you know how the interview session will work?:s11:

I am going for the FASS interview next week too! And went for NTU's SCI interview last week. Not sure on what are the chances of getting in from the interview either, anybody can shed some light on that?

What kind of questions did they ask you for your previous SCI interview?

2 comprehension questions? Most probably, it is going to be about economics right?

I am not too sure about the interview structure as I have only seen NBS's interview structure but not the other school.

One thing to note for NTU, you won't be able to see the updated status of your application online on their portal. You will have to patiently wait for the parcel to arrive in your mailbox. I applied for biological sciences NTU and received the offer letter dated 3 April.

Oh, till now I haven't receive the letter, looking as though the chance of getting in is slim

Are you going for the interview too?

They asked me questions about:
- my achievements outside of school
- why did I choose SCI since I did not came from a media/comm background in poly
- how do I fit into the whole student lifestyle
- if both NTU and NUS offered first choice, which will I take
