hi, i am working, but my wife is housewife(Unemploy).Didnt work for 5-6 years already. Still Need the Proof of Unemployment- (Statutory Declaration* to declare the employment status)?

I believe your wife will need to show her CPF account to prove that she is not earning any income.

Anyone going for balcony units compassvale cape.. I still deciding between unit 165 and 305
initially was considering, but it is too far inwards. so decided to give up on that. furthermore i feel the price of balcony is not worth it. difference of over 10K-18K for that small space.

Anyone know what is the diff between HDB Premium flat to HDB Normal flat?? only the Premium flat window glass is bigger?

premium flats have full length windows in living room n the rest of the rooms have 3/4 length windows. They can opt in ocs for parquet flooring and the tiles are of better quality. So the price is much more expensive than standard. =]

Hi,

I got an appointment for the previous 2 BTO. Nov And Jan, both chui number. 2x the supplied units. but for SK project, my que number is 50% of the supplied unit, meaning to say i going to have a flat. Can i just dont go for the first 2 appointment ? just go straight for the march bto appointment instead ?

Yup. And if the prev 2 is 2x you probably will get the no-more-flats notification soon..

U mean standard flat don't comes with full length windows for living room?
Standard flat can opt for ocs too right?

Standard flat.. Living room got the 50cm wall.. Not full length.. Ya.. Standard flat also have ocs.. But not as nice as premium.. But is subjected to each bto

How do you know if you are ready to buy a bto? i have got my queue number and have been working for two years already but I am not very sure if I am financially ready to get the flat. I am hoping that my CPF and AHG will be able to cover the downpayment. Anyone can share of their knowledge pertaining to the finances part?

If either one of ur spouse is below age of 30.. U can go for staggered down payment of 5%.. So, a unit about 500k, u will need about 35k for the 5% plus stamp duty fees.. If u and ur spouse have that amt either in CPF or savings, it will be good enuf. The rest of the amt can worry later, 3 years later.. Of cos have to be eligible for the HDB loan..

Saw that the selection of flats has already begun. Just wondering for those going for 5 rooms, if u are not able to get a desirable unit at helm, will u all go for Cape? Or drop out? Cause so far most of the 5 rooms units chosen are mostly with helm with a couple of units at Cape only. My queue number is almost double of the units available and just wana estimate my chances of getting a reasonable unit at Cape.

ya. but do take note, this is only those on special scheme, eg. MGPS. i think from next selection date onwards, it should be on public scheme. the drop out rate will be more accurate then.

if you ask me, those older ppl will like a place with more shops and near to mrt. that explain why Helm is of higher selection as compared.

so far ppl looking at nearer to MRT for value.

My question is: does anyone know what the Compassvale Helm site reserved for utility will be? Somebody above posted about power, but is that confirmed? Utility to me sounds like it could be anything from power to water to sewage facilities (touch wood).

Any information on this is highly appreciated! :)

Will have sewage facility so near to housing block de eh.. I not so sure too but logically i think is unright..

Chances maybe a telco exchange? since more house require more telephone lines?
