How they count first class if u take only 11.5 unit ? Then is that half unit stat counted as one if maths is exempted?

The nine marks on which the classification is based are drawn from the following.
i. The marks for all Further units considered individually.

ii. If eight Further units and four Foundation units have been attempted, the ninth mark is the average of
the best three Foundation units (see also v).

iii. If seven Further units and five Foundation units have been attempted, the eighth mark is the average
of the best two Foundation units, and the ninth mark is the average of the next best two Foundation
units (see also vi.).

iv. If six Further units and six Foundation units have been attempted, the seventh mark is the average of
the best three Foundation units, the eighth mark is the average of the next best two Foundation units,
and the ninth mark is the average of all six Further units (see also vii.).

v. Where a student is exempt from one or more Foundation units and has taken Foundation units to bring
their total of exemptions and Foundation units to four then:
(a) given one exemption, the ninth mark is calculated in the usual way (see ii.)
(b) given two exemptions, the ninth mark is the average of the two Foundation units taken
(c) given three exemptions, the ninth mark is the Foundation unit taken
(d) given four exemptions, the ninth mark is the average of all the Further units taken.

First Class Honours – awarded to students who, of the nine marks being used for classification, have
either five first class marks OR four first class marks and an aggregate of 590.

Upper Second Class Honours – awarded to students who, of the nine marks being used for
classification, have either five upper second class marks OR four upper second class marks and an
aggregate of 515.

Lower Second Class Honours – awarded to students who, of the nine marks being used for
classification, have either five lower second class marks OR four lower second class marks and an
aggregate of 440.

Third Class Honours – awarded to students who, of the nine marks being used for classification, have
five third class marks.

MSM

Hi,

For MSM EBQ question, how do you calculate the answer because my calculator always keep saying that the amount is too big and can't give me a proper answer.

For those who took stats1, any graph paper that's used and crossed out must tie with answer booklet and hand up? Or just hand up with question paper

divide all by 1000 first, then final answer multiply back 1000

Msm network diagram, as long as the diagram follows activity instructions can aleady right? My diagram always quite messy. :(

What I did last year was before attempting to draw, I use a pencil to roughly draw out on the question paper then adjust until swee swee liao before I draw it proper into the booklet.

Is that all?

As in my diagram tends to cut around quite messily but still can get a solution. :s22:

try to be neat

sometimes you will confuse yourself if you draw until very messy

best if you can try not to cross so many lines

anyway your solving is david quek's method or peter kuan?

because david quek method is so much easier compared to peter kuan
