Those experiencing lag,try using a class 10 SD card or try formatting your card.

I have no lag whatsoever and no I'm not in denial.

Still sluggish, after 'drastically' reduced...? How bad is it actually then?

Tried at Samsung shop today, feel quite ok leh. Mostly default settings without fine tuning, roughly the same if not smoother than my S3.

Unfortunately no stock for no-contract purchase everywhere... :(

I still have one lump of s4 sitting on my shelf.. u didnt search everywhere eh..

Lag has nothing to donwith sdcard.

lagging when switching between apps which do not get installed on the sd card.

Minimizing the apps causes lag as well as typing, like now.
Very laggy compared to iphone.

None of you have display issues?

forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2252445

Seriously i do not have much of the lag issues, but this screen issue is apparent. Actually it's obvious if you turn down the brightness (which i always do with screen filter while fiddling my phone in bed)

I tested the GT9500 OctaCore version today in JB.
Seriously.. don't rave about it. The lag and overall experience IS THE SAME.

Samsung did not use different processors so favor certain markets. User experience is supposed to be the same for both processors (the benchmarks aren't that far apart either).
The main reason for different processors is to keep up with the volume. Those working in consumer electronics would know :)

Yeah, many rave about the octa core but seriously it's no difference except it heats up more and slightly better sound if you are listening in a really quiet place..

Ok here is what I did.

1) Enabled developer's mode and disabled ALL animations.
2) Disable all the dunno wad gestures and smart features.
3) Disable 'Enable S-Voice via home button'

and................the lag STILL persists!!! The animations were removed, but the responsiveness and smoothness isn't there. I don't expect perfection, but even swiping between screens had 'stuttering' animations.

Reason why I bother to test coz S4 has a nice sharp big screen with high PPI. PLanning to switch from iOS, but the lag forces me otherwise

Cool, dude!

In fact I wanted to switch to S4 after being with HTC for years!

I have actually bought 2x S4 on Monday, but I have never expected that my first try on Galaxy S Series, namely the S4 was so horrible due to the lag.

I'm just stating the fact so as many other users here. Don't get emo, dude!:s13:

If only S4 is not that lag, I'm already sticking to S4 now.

totally agree no more, its only frustrating day in day out if one were to use the S4.

The S4 is unusable at all. Get the Note II
