Plus pang slides are largely using the textbook "lecturer's material" didnt even bother spending time coming out with own notes or slides.

I strongly advise prospective students taking ISORG to steer clear of Mr Pang.

thats right. steer clear of him.
i took ISORG due to the CPA exemption thing. in the end this module is useless.
the salt to the wound? I got a 2.2, when I'm aiming for a 2.1

thanks to him. :vijayadmin:
among my 12 lecturers, I rate him the worse tbh.

Hi all. Will appreciate if you guys can advisewhich one to take. ME or Micro?

I prefer mods tht has a standard way of doing things and the pyp commentaries are quite helpful.

Also, any lecturers to recommend?

according to investopedia, ROA can be taken as either Net Income/Total Assets, or ( Net Income + Interest Expense )/ Total Assets.

2011 ZA Question 2 if you see the exam report the formula for ROA is NI/TA. so i guess we just follow suit? :s13:

3. Treatment of borderline marks at degree classification and diploma grading
3.1 Borderline marks are 69, 59, 49 for all units. In addition, 44 is a borderline mark for law units only (any unit in Selection group
F(iii) or L) and 39 is a borderline mark for non-law units only (all units not in Selection groups F(iii) or L ). At the stage of
classification/grading, only one borderline mark may be treated as falling within the mark band above when doing so would improve a
student’s classification/grade.
3.2 There are no borderline aggregate marks (see 8.2 and 10.2 below).

Hi guys, anybody knows whether is the treatment of borderline mark still applicable? dug this out from somewhere :s11:

I cannot agree with you that this module is useless.
But I must agree and advise all prospective students of Pang's ISORG to open you eyes and choose your lecturer wisely.

Similarly, this is my final year and he is the worst lecturer I encountered in SIM. I am lucky I made the decision to buy textbook early on in the academic year, it served me well. The lady who sold me the tb on this forum also had Pang as ISORG lecturer and also agree he was the most regrettable lecturer she ever came across !

i think just follow the subject guide and you will be fine. and anyway, i have found quite a number of errors in the subject guide actually. :s22:

if you look at the exam questions, normally chapter 9 and 11 are intertwined together as a entire question. im focusing on 9, 11 and 12 for theory. :)

im not studying chapter 10 at all because i dont understand at all. :s13: i guess thats the only chapter that most of us can avoid, as it is more of a standalone chapter. yeah, mok's formula is abit different from the guide. :s22:
