They need to allocate funds for:
- 4G spectrum auction
- Capex for islandwide 4G network (Singtel & M1 are ahead on this:s22:)
- BPL bidding

So, they decide to be more prudent and maintain dividends.

Valuation is still rich, but not as rich as 4.80 a few months back.......:s13:

Yield is 5% at $4.

Risk-free Fixed deposit rate (12 months) at 0.5%

Hi again,

Thanks, but I was more asking for specific numbers - did Management give guidance on how much they need to spend specifically on each of the items above? Can they be quantified in terms of % of OCF and how does it compare to current capex requirements?

Would there be a potential situation where dividends were dropped, rather than maintained or increased? What would this situation be and how does one attain comfort on it?

What is current valuation for Starhub, and also for other telcos? When you say "rich", are you referring to comparative valuations versus competitors, or Starhub's historical valuations over a period of time?

Also, I think your stated yield of 5% is historical yield (LTM), is the projected forward yield the same as well?

There are FD out there which yield about 1%, in the form of step-up FD. Of course, the vesting period is also longer than say 1-2 months (usually at least a year).

Are those figures not sensitive to competitors out there?

let see on mon whether i could average down my m1 lots...

Average down?

If you want play the stock market, never think of average down. You should think of average up as an avenue of making money.

Play 10 x average down and make money is not enough to cover 1 x average down which goes down down down down.........

Yes. Very possible.

More downtrend next week. Especially Starhub. Looks like investors want a 5% yield on Singtel and 6% yield on Starhub and M1.

For that to happen,

Singtel should be around $3.30
Starhub should be around $3.30
M1 should be around $2.40
