Hi everyone,

I will be going HK next month. Need some views on the recommendations. First trip.

Should I stay in Jordan/Tsim Sam Shui?
Or should I stay in the relatively cheaper Sheung Wan?

I want a hotel that is accessible and doesn't take me much time to reach. Would appreciate your views on this if any. Thanks!

if u r staying in Sheung Wan, u can stay at 60 View Apartment Suite. About 120sgd per night for a large double suite room. i stayed there 2 weeks ago and it was excellent!

First trip stay at Jordan. Very near to Temple Street and Ladies Street markets, near Mtr station, lots of reasonably priced food at door step. Being near so many things maximize your time there.

Sheng wan is a little out of the way IMHO.

yup Hop Inn is good too. but if u r there first time, u might have some problem locating the hotel as it is situated in a building, with one sharing lift. :D

remember to print out the map!

I went direct to Victoria Hotel - Got it slightly cheaper than the internet pricing.

eh is it cheaper to book directly with the hotel or use price comparison site like Find Cheap Hotels in Singapore at Wego SG | No Booking Fees cos i always use the latter.

Try price comparison liao, then check the hotel website's price. Rem to take taxes into consideration when comparing.

I always tend to use hotel loyalty cards, so I gotta book direct, as the stays usually don't count if I book from third party booking sites. But since I usually go for Accor hotels, they promise (and usually are) the lowest online price anyway. So no loss for me. =:p

M1 hotel

M1 hotel (not the telco:)) is situated at Yau Ma Tei, If you want you can also take a stroll along Nathan road to Mongkok. It's like 2 mins walk to YMT MRT

I would say it's stylish and more of a boutique hotel which is popular these days. It provides free Wifi.

The Tsim Sha Tsui Shopping District about 2 km from M1 Hotel.

For Temple street Night Market, Langham Place and Clock tower you can take a cab or MRT about 30 mins....

By Taxi it takes about 10 minutes to Harbour City, Elements and Hong Kong China Ferry Terminal.

Room Rates: Standard Breakfast included S$151

$150 For both rooms or for each room? Usually there's little or no difference between single and double rooms.

Evergreen hotel has a triple room at Hk$1,212 for 4-8 nov.
Double room is around Hk$1k
