Ya, saw Harvey Norman selling 1328 + 183..saving is abt 200 bux if take from Singtel. R u going for the Surface pro?

Nope. Didn't get yet. Still considering. I'd prefer an ultraportable but the surface doesn't have a LAN port so have to rely on wifi. HP one is about 2.5kg if I'm not wrong and the Alienware one is almost 3kg based on the older version.

HP without battery is ~ 2kg and ~2.3kg with battery. Want ultra portable just get a netbook ~ 1.1kg with battery. Netbook is so cheap and light. Many Poly and uni students using netbook.

Errhhh.... I have no use for a netbook and my current ultra portable is running a core single that stutters when I attempt to playback 720p videos. Old man don't want to carry such a heavy laptop lah. :s13:

From live chat, was quoted 49.90$ for 200mbps.but when I ask if I want the alienware, it became 59.90+55=114.50$ and not 104.90$

Is this correct? Cso claimed if I want the premium, I will not get the discounted rate.

Netbook can watch HD TV online. I am using a netbook and I have a notebook at home. One netbook is only $399. If Play DVD only just buy a portable DVD player with 7" LCD, the most is $99. Some $79 only.

I have tried to call up a couple of times and only get $49.90 for 200Mbps fibre plan.

When I use online assistance from Singtel website, I was offered $44.90 for 200Mbps fibre plan.

Maybe you guys can tried that as well :s13:

Bo lei?! They ask me for "my friend" details to confirm the plan.

Base on experience the 50+ registration fee sure must pay one for online or phone order.

Just went to PC Show to sign for 200Mbps Fibre TV Bundle at $79.9. (New Sign Up)
I opt for the HP ENVY TouchSmart 15 (Top up $35/mth)

Free 12 Months Movie Pack worth $202.8.
Free 1GB 4G Mobile Broadband 75
Free OpenNet Installation
Free Singtel Installation
Free Registration!!
Free 24-Months Security Suite Subscription worth $120
Free 4 Movie Tickets.

Seems quite a good deal I think especially the registration fee is waived.

Anyone managed to re contract fibre at discount rate and top up for the premiums?
Eg. For 200mbps with alienware: $49.90+$55

I decided to go for the 150mbps @ 49.90 and the alienware.
Personally i prefer high performance and also the price is really good for the alienware. This model is not released yet and will be announced at E3 on 10 June, but several images of it has been leaked online here (NOTE: This may or may not be the actual release model so please take with a pinch of salt)

Being a new customer (jump ship from m1) i couldn't get the registration waived, any new customers here managed to get their registration waived?

Quite a good deal. Usually they charge installation fee.

Registration is always waived but they charge installation fee. Some plan they waive installation fee too.

haha... also same answer from the livechat assistance... cuz he/she insisted that 44.90 is for 150mbps... 49.90 for 200mbps... zzzzz....

my sticking problem is that the registration fee can't be waived..

Ok la, no need to q and squeeze with the crowd...

Since the last IT Show, already can't waive for registration. So I'm prepared if I were to upgrade.

I managed to hold off the urge 3 months back... now still got another 1plus hr to fight the urge...

But the signs are showing that fibre is getting cheaper... especially the M1 $39 for 200mbps.

I'm guessing that the next fibre promo bundle would be as attractive or better to get ppl on their new Mio Sports for the new BPL season...
