According to the staff which I telephoned in, the opening hours are Mondays to Fridays, 8.30am to 5pm. Lunch time from 12pm to 1pm.

Anyway, I sent in my faulty harddisk liao and got acknowledgement slip. The email address is indeed as u specified. :)

You uncheck Quick Scan when using HDTune?
Can't quite remember. Any difference?

By the way, just to share my recent RMA experience with everyone, I handed over my HDD to the Flextronics guard duty personnel on 2 Jul and got back a refurbished one on 12 Jul afternoon via Fedex .

For those who are working, do you give them your company address so that the replacement HDD can be sent to your office? Luckily I was not working that day and did not intend to go out.

I will be heading down to Flextronics@Kallang Place this Thurs to RMA my 750GB My Passport ext HDD, would like to confirm a few things.

and the email is MY-SNIFGSWDRECEVING@MY.FLEXTRONICS.COM

The above email address for Flextronics Malaysia is it correct? And what are the detail information we need to provide when emailing over.

Their lunch hour period is 12pm - 1pm?

Thanks!

Ic, thanks!

Another question to ask again, the "Customs Information" on the RMA pre-mailer, do I need to sign that?

No need. In fact, u can just print page one of the pre-mailer, which contains the RMA number. No need to print the remaining pages.

Ok I have just sent in my ext hdd at Flex@Kallang there this morning, requested the acknowledgement form at the lobby and pass the hdd n pre-mailer to 1 of their staff.

Also I did check with them regarding about the email which you guys mentioned about, they told me no need to email them as they have my RMA premailer printout for reference. Not to sure if theres a change of their system.

I intend to RMA my WD MyEssential 3TB HDD, but I don't have any ESD bags or plastic casings. Is it ok to send it in like that, in its unwrapped form?

WD is likely to reject on the ground of ESD damage.
So it is no go without ESD bag.

I think if we send the HDD directly to Flextronics@Kallang it probably does not need ESD bag. Even an envelope or just paper wrapping the HDD should be fine.

I was thinking the same thing. After all, the Western Digital MyBook Essential (typo on my previous post) is a sort of enclosure for the actual HDD inside it.

EDIT: The person said just the hard disk with a paper bag and the pre-mailer will do for those who send it by hand.
