Robovac biz really competitive these days...

If ur charger label already shows 110-220V, then it's already universal voltage & can be used in S'pore directly. The thicker cable of the charger should also be detachable.Hi Guys,
My woot Irobot arrived today! Yuppie!
Anyway, would just like to check with you guys.
Initially I thought I would need to get a step down transformer or get a Juboo kor kor to help me mod.
But the original adapter that i got is written 110-220v leh. Means what?

I tried to start up my RoboKing, but it keep showing the battery logo.
I thought the battery was flat so I kinda push it into the base to recharge, however it doesn't seem to to recharge at all and keep showing the battery logo.
Any ideas what's wrong?

If u've been using regularly & keeping Roomba charged, no reason for battery leak unless it's like 3-4 yr old battery & simply cannot make it.Guys,
I got a roomba last June but it stopped working (error 5: charging error). And had send it for repair and was diagnose that battery leakage and cause motherboard to spoilt. I was told that this was rare as I am been using the roomba 4 times a week schedule. It just cost too much to repair. Any similar experience? Just wondering is it worth to invest another roomba? Not sure it is as reliable as mine is bearly a year? Thanks.
I've been selling iRobot products full-time on eBay since Aug 2008.This was my unpleasant experience with this particular local reseller and hope folks can learned from it:
- Roomba 560 failed to charge with Err5 barely 1 year
- Brought it and leave it to the reseller to check as instructed
- Reseller updated that battery leaked and cause motherboard to corrode
- Quoted $275 repair for motherboard and 3rd party battery
- Decided not to proceed as cost too much to repair
- Brought back the set and suspected the set is not mine or being tampered with
- Bin/roomba is extremely filthy and the error became Err3 (we clean the bin/roomba before handing it over)
- Contacted reseller he then try hard to explain he run the Roomba with another battery and cleaning the corrosion might change the Err5 to Err3 (nothing was mentioned and explained to me till I confronted them and send them pictures of before and after). In any case, I just find it hard to believe, do you?
Lesson Learned:
- Only deal with proper company and not part timer/fly by night reseller
- Never leave your set to them and go with those with onsite support/diagnosis
- Deal should then be agreed on the spot whether to proceed with the repair
And sad to say that you still cannot trust your fellow Singaporean as we developed as a country. In fact, I realised it became worst as money became more or less everything!!
