if compare to iPhone or iPad, need some time to get used to Android user interface

the benefit that PadFone is a 2-in-1 is a big plus

limitation of whatsapp and flash on iPad make things inconvenient

No, he meant that since the iPad isn't a phone, it cannot use Whatsapp. It also has no flash built in.

However for the Padfone Infinity, since the phone is powering the tablet, you are able to use Whatsapp on both the phone and tablet since the tablet is technically the phone.

anyone has used a back protective film of this sort for the phone?
Amazon.com: Skinomi TechSkin - Asus PadFone Infinity (Phone Only) Screen Protector Ultra Clear Shield + Full Body Protective Skin + Lifetime Warranty: Cell Phones & Accessories

quite interested in this as i feel it doesnt make sense to buy a bumper or casing for the phone as i have to take it out now and then to dock it in the station. this is based on the assumption that i will not drop the phone...

but question is will the film hinder the smoothness of docking and undocking?

oh, i always thought the limitation of whatsapp is only restricted to non-3G ipads only. thought as long as got SIM slot can use liao.

this is interesting. think the front and back will be needed while the rest is quite redundant.

yes, i was talking about iPad without whatsapp and flash

otherwise iPad would have been perfect

having bought covers & cases as well as screen protectors etc for all smart phones

lesson = no point protect until so nice becoz by the time we upgrade, so what if the old phone is still in very good condition?

no longer using = no value

anyway, most of the time, battery performance diminish and may not be worthwhile to replace

eg samsung omniaII battery died, unable to get battery to replace

for my infinity, i use anti-glare on phone and station

given free transleeve, so using it on station

was looking for original bumper case but cannot find, maybe infinity still very new

now using infinity for 10 days and most of the time, left the phone in the station, so no point buying any case

this will be my first smartphone/PDA without case

This is a repost...

If you're thinking of getting one of the PFI station cases available on qoo10, I've one here to sell. In case you're wondering which one, it's by iGadgetZ, with the title

"SG Stocks !! ASUS Padfone 3 Premium Grade Case for Phone and Tablet Padfone 3 screen protector !!"

link: list [dot] qoo10 [dot] sg/item/SG-STOCKS-ASUS-PADFONE-3-PREMIUM/406892529

Colour: black
Case: Station only
Condition: brand new (apart from once used to test it out)

Bought it at a total of $29+, willing to let go at lower price.

SMS 90127376 if interested.

ASUS Padfone Infinity: Blinking Tablet Light

Hey guys,

A loyal iOS/Apple Follower, finally switched to ASUS Padfone Infinity. Recently problem came up an hour ago. Wanted to dock the phone into the station, but station wouldn't start up. Only blinking orange light. Tablet was more or less fully charged. Any hard reset etc etc?

Anyways, SHOULD I upgrade to WW SKU, is there a way to come back to Starhub's? Sorry, new to this thanks all.

gotten the Asus Padfone and the Padfone station and loving every minute of it.

just wondering if i dock my phone into the Padfone station and leaving it in there (under the Intelligent mode), will the battery consumption be huge on both the equipments?

why would u be keeping the phone docked in the station whole day? u make it sound like u needed a tablet with occasional phone usage.

i think the fonepad would be more suitable for you in that case.

try docking yr phone in the station, and then connect the charger to yr tablet.

see if the thing can start. then see what's the battery percentage for each.

Nope. Doesn't. Still orange light blinking. Called ASUS. Got to send to service center. Sigh. To think I only bought it for 8 days.

try pressing the button on the station to turn it on after docking the phone?

when i use station, the battery can drain quite fast

overall, padfone & station both battery cannot last as long as iPhone or iPad

agree?

please note - compare padfone alone to iphone

and compare padfone with station to ipad

no idea about yours, but mine can last from morn till evening.

i use my phone as my watch. so u can expect every 5-10mins, my display is on. so meaning to say i'm quite a heavy user. i also do heavy chatting.

if i don't chat, my battery will have like 50% left by evening. if i chat frequently, 20% by evening time. i usually use it will less than 5% by the time i hit the bed. btw, the time of my usage usually starts from 8am.

have you all updated to the latest firmware already?

it's supposed to solve wifi/volume and keyboard issues we've been having.
