May I know if you can repair my broken Samsung tablet?

No sorry.
XE700 screens are proprietary to Samsung. We do not have stocks for that.

Anyway, from the looks of it, the casing is also damage, so even if screen is change, it might not be able to fit snugly into the back case.

I have a 3 year old Thinkpad Edge 13". Power button lights up but no Hard disk activity.
Screen is also a total black. Can it be the motherboard? How much would it cost to repair it? Thanks

I've a Dell Inspiron 1427 that doesn't boot up into Windows anymore. During booting up, the screen displays:

Intel UNDI, PXE-2.1 (build 082)
Copyright (C) 1997-2000 Intel Corporation

For Realtek RTL8111B/8111C Gigabit Ethernet Controller v2.17 (080602)
PXE-E61: Media test failure, check cable
PXE-M0F: Exiting PXE ROM.
Operating System not found

What is the problem and can this be solved? It is a 4-years old laptop that had been going strong from Day 1 until now. Thanks for your attention, and if it is reparable I would like to bring it to you.

Yes. It is likely motherboard issue.
Do you observe any display on the screen at all, or totally nothing?
Can have the processor of your edge 13"? :)

yes, we can solve this issue. This is likely a HDD failure. The bad news is likely your data will be gone. :(

It might be a RAM issue. Need to check out the exact issue first. :)

Hi,

Just want to check...My HP Pavillion DV6 Laptop, which I got it from M1 promo 2 years ago has this problem of overheating and then hang. I previously tried to remedy the problem by sending it to SLS for repair. Eventually, the GPU fan was changed (The repair personal advised that). However, the laptop itself cannot do anything except idling nowadays. If I just try to get some performance on it, it will still overheat and then hang / BSOD on me.

Is there anyway to fix it?

Heard before from some gurus mentioning about the Thermal Paste on the CPU might be the problem.

Best Regards

Hi PC Dreams,

I have been encountering problems with my samsung laptop(slightly over a year old). The screen keeps on flickering when it is running on battery, however when i plugged in the power source to charge the battery, the screen stops flickering, then when i unplugged the power source, the screen starts to flicker again. Most of the times it flickers violently.

I have checked online solutions including upgrading the graphics card etc but to no avail. I would like to ask what is the likely cause of the problem and how much would it actually cost to repair it?

Do pm me thanks and appreciate it!

Yes. We can help to clean up the laptop and reapply a better paste between the heatsink and the CPU and GPU.

However, as your case is a prolonged overheating issue, other parts of the motherboard may have been overheat to failure already. Thus, by just doing the above, the problem might not be solve. We have to evaluate first to confirm. :)

Hi,

May I know the model of your Samsung?
It can be software - Intel display refresh rate switching technology issue

Or hardware issue, usually due to power circuitry or static electricity or power supply issue.
There is also a chance that the power circuitry of the LCD is faulty, in that case, the whole LCD needs to be replaced.

We will need to diagnose first before confirming what is the fault. :)
