Brother Inix. I v v agree with you and do you need cheap critic? I don't think we need. This kind of forum is to allow us to do thing we like. Share thing that we want. Or do things that we won't in our life. I don't think all of us will talk or discuss cc so frequently when outside of forum. Since this is a relax forum. Why we deserve finger pointing? I am v new in such forum and I find some time some people are too critical and some time I really love to find out the reasons behind but it is not possible. Argh. You reminded me about this retention bonus. I totally forgot about it as I was in the US and now there is no way to ask for it because I've paid up 2 months ago!!! ****!

No harm trying since you have already paid. Just say you have friends who were given retention bonuses and you want to know if you are entitled as well.

I recall it is based on your spending for the previous year, so doesn't mean that once you pay the membership fees, you will automatically get retention bonus.

Chill brother, for my case i may nt as rich as anyone down here, i didnt hold platinum charge card since my annual just barely hit 200k a yr. i was holding amex card cos their service r among the top, i find it gd compare to other cards i have used bef, cos once u have the card, the entitlement is yours, no need to spend extra or earn extra pts to get the entitlement for free. There is nth to brag about, as long as u r happy that enough. I rmb last time i use to have dbs black card, annual fee should be around $190 but u have to pay extra for FAR card which cost another $190. Total is $380++. Amex currently back with FAR and with palate only cost $321 for my reserve. Im glad with amex and their service.

The CSO told me that lower tier cards except for Krisflyer Ascend card will be waived as long as holding on to the charge.

Am thinking of getting the rewards card for the MR pts and using the charge for the 10x partners, FAR, palate and other platinum perks. Does this make sense? Comments pls.
