well i was considering this phone before and did my research on it. I came to a conclusion that i already had thick high spec phones and didnt need one so big and thick.

for reference the neo noo3 is 10.5mm thick and the nokia lumia 920 is 10.7mm thick. The lumia 920 is 185g while the neo n003 is stated to be 173g.

you can get other similar priced phones which are lighter and have most of the specs offered by the Neo n003.

Of course the neo n003 comes with a 3000mah battery, which is why it is so thick. so if you need the extra battery, go for it as you dont need to purchase an extra 3000mah battery for it.

By the way, due to the continuous delays, it was only released on the 1st of august. And now taobao only appears to have preorders, which is helpful is preventing me from buying one of them on impulse. :s13:

Guess I'll have to reconsider my options...mayb will look at X7 elite/Jiayu G4 advanced or Umi X2..any reliable taobao agents to recommend?

Just got this Lenovo P780 and give up on the waiting time for the UMI X2
Turbo version as supplier informed me got to wait much longer.
Memory although not that great, RAM : 1GB / ROM : 4GB eMMC but it came
with a whopping 4000mAh Battery and the OTG feature is one of the reason
I decided to get this phone. Tested connecting to my car camera using the
OTG cable via usb, I am able to download record video or playback from the
phone. Connecting to thumbdrive and portable hard disk too w/o problem.
Now still testing different custom ROM to see which work the best.

haha personally i used hirakawa who is not an agent but a freight forwarder, so no agent fees (as a % of price) that some bigger names do charge. Haha i am awaiting my 2nd phone order which should come next week.

I came upon another freight forwarder (i think its chanzhf who has a orange tao picture) in the mass order section who appears to charge slightly cheaper shipping fees. so i may try him out someday.:s13:

haha why dont u ask both of them for a quote and compare?

hey all, wonder if i can get some help here. am currently based in china and hoping to get myself a dual-sim phone that will work with both my 3G china mobile & singtel sim cards. its a real pain in the arse to be bringing around 2 phones..

understand from a bro (gtggtg) earlier post that the phone must be able to support WCDMA 2100mhz for it to be able to work on singapore's 3G network. this is so that i still get 3G access on my phone when i come back to singapore.

any recommendations please?
many many thanks!

Hi,

there are some factors you need to consider.

1. some phones use 1 micro sim 1 normal sim while some use 2 normal sim. so you try to make sure the phone you buying fits your cards

2. Some phones only have 1 sim card slot for 3g while the other is 2g. I have a phone that is this way (manufacturer stated) .

i dont have a 2nd sim card so i cannot recommend you any but based on what i can see and own,

my iocean x7 is 1 normal sim and 1 micro sim, i am using m1 3g on micro sim. When i press 3g service under mobile network, a menu comes up where i can select my sim card (as shown by my phone number) and off.
I am not sure if you can select both sim cards on 3G. I suggest you go to Iocean.cc to check out or email their customer service. I emailed them once and reply was rather prompt.

haha if you interested in galaxy s4 copy, i suggest buying the no.1 s6.

It costs 998 yuan, mtk 6589 1.2 ghz, dual sim 720p screen with 3G support for SG (2100 mhz). Also, i believe it is the exact same size as the S4, at least thats what it claims to be, so you can technically use the S4 case?

haha also apparently it got some s4 functions eh:s13:, see second link.

NO.1

floating touch function?

Hi, i hv iocean x7 elite.
im using the sim slot 1 which is the normal sim.
a few times phone unable to register my sh network. so not calls or sms.
even a reboot can resolve it. i hv to remove the battery and restart the phone.
happens once every one or two weeks.
anyone know why?
