Thanks for all the info. Guess I will keep my existing Plat CC till renewal time then decide whether to keep or change to Reward card.

Weird, when I called today the CSO said it was not possible to link the accounts. Maybe they've changed the policy since then? (especially with different mile redemption rates)

Although if anyone's done this more recently, do update so I'll know I need to call back again. Zzz.

Bro louist,

Am not too sure actually. Before plat charge, I hold gold charge then reserve plat, I hold 3 card products + plat A/C card, CSO linked up without sharing further, but I didn't ask either. I started to used plat charge and other cards were quite useless with no spending...

What happened was I saw an indication at cards MR column - please refer MR point at account 3762-01xxxx-xxxxx :)

Mine is auto linked, same as wxswoong.

Hmm.. did you apply for the other cards after getting the charge? For me, the charge is the most recent card.

Btw, noticed that for MR pts redemption, there used to be an option to redeem annual fee for 200k pts. That means if spend around 16k at 10x partners, the MR pts enough to pay for the fee. But they have removed this option..

I am in hk now.
Staying @ novotel kowloon hotel.
Book the hotel via the accor platinum member which comes with the platinum charge card.
1. 2 x complimentary drinks
2. Free wifi
3. Fruits
4. 1 bottle of sparkling wine.

No free upgrade of room. Think novotel is 1 of the worst under the accor groups of hotel.
Novotel is always excluded whenever there is any promo for the accor groups.
Sigh.. I got another upcoming novotel stay in BKK.

Actually the same is the sane if u book via agoda and accor. For bkk, accor is cheaper by few dollars. Superior room and standard is different by a few dollars for bkk too but interior is so much better than standard

I honestly think that Accor Advantage Plus Programme is worth it because you always get upgraded no matter Novotel or Sofitel - because it is a paid membership. Link that to your Le Accor Platinum - you get nice perks like upgrade to suite when available / or executive lounge access. I think annual fees is S$338 and it comes with 2 free nights. ;)

I have the Advantage Plus Card for last 3 years. And platinum member as well. Hardly got upgraded at Novotel except once at Sofitel hotel in Bangkok only.

Personally, I feel that Accor has one of the poorest hotel loyalty programs among the international chains.

I signed up Accor Advantage Plus recently. Planning to use the 2 free nights during my honeymoon at New Zealand early next year. Sadly the hotel I want require paid booking of 1-2 nights before I can redeem one free night.

Anyway, how do you guys utilize the 50% dinning benefits? They don't really have any good restaurants locally right :s11:

Am also disappointed to hear single person dinning benefit is only 25-30%?

At least you got free wifi and fruits. The last time I stayed there in Feb, I got zilch.

I stayed in Starwood hotels on Taipei recently. Le Meridien and W. Managed to enjoy SPG Gold perks like late check out at 4pm, free Internet, free bottle of wine. No free upgrade though.
