Hi, im due to graduate this upcoming year 2013/2014 .

Failed 3 mods in year 2 , and left with 4 units for year 3

I believe can take 4 new units and 3 resits mods in one year if youre due to graduate, is it correct? Read it on website

hi guys,

need some advice.

really damm sad right now.

I am a year 2 student Banking Finance Student.

I failed Marco econs and CF.

by right, year 3 i have another 4 modules to take?

1) Do I have to retake Marco? Can I change to Miro?

2)Is it possible to squeeze all 6 modules in 1 year? (i.e yr 3)

3) or Would you guys recommend 3 modules each year instead?

4) For year 3, any recommendation on modules to take? and teachers?

if you want to grad without caring the grades

i will suggest going for all 6 modules

then study for only 4 modules and strive to pass those 4 mod, then your honours will drop 1 class but still graduate

easier said than done

in the first place why he can fail 3 modules ?

i suggest going over to rmit if he really has no discipline in studying

i attend first 2 lectures, decided to rely on myself. If you're taking PBF, DUN EVER choose christina lai. u will be better off reading the notes yourself. That said, i nvr attend ANY PBF lectures after the first 2, i dun even know what format etc until after prelims (i didnt even go take prelims for PBF). i still got 57 marks for it somehow. Self study ftw for me. imo PBF is one of the easier paper in the sense that, it is content heavy, SUPER HEAVY, but the questions asked are direct. they wont turn one big round and let u guess what they trying to ask (intro to econs)

Thank you! Think I'll be opting for self study then!

Failed intro to econs & maths 1. Passed my audit & isorg. Can i take intro to econs & maths 1 as self study in yr2? And since these 2 r the pre-req what other modules can i take in year2? Pretty demoralized right now. :(

And im in PT AnF. I think a lot of modules i cant take cause i fail pre-req mods.

Oh one more, if failed bridging before and failed again in yr 1 for intro to econs n maths1, does it consider as failed twice already?

Congrats to those who are graduating!! *envy*

Im in the same situation as you as are (flung 3 mods), and i didn't expect to do so badly. really don't know what went wrong this year. Furthermore, I already paid the 50pounds and no chance to backout also. So i just go with the flow even though i know the chances of a successful appeal can say is close to 0%. But have to think of a plan B la.

Quit SIM, take as a private candidate. feeling like crap now.

Just sharing my experience ,

for the past 3 years, i'm sort of studying PT... in my first 2 years i was working part time at evening shift while attending classes in the day. Most of the days after my lessons i will just head home str8 to take a nap or w/e b4 getting ready for work. Until the weekends or on my offdays i will sit down seriously n mug through. In my final year i convert to PT studies n took on a full time job with a bank, i skipped alot of lessons simply becoz i was too tired. I did most of my modules by self studying, dont even know why i so gum gong pay sim $$.

my results were pretty ok, i already have 1 leg in the FCH bracket by the end of my year 2 with 4 As. I didnt even attend any UOL overseas/ local revision class. Those that i attend i left halfway becoz i dont feel it can add anymore value to me...
I'm not super smart here but if u r willing to put in the effort u definitely can do it. i self studied most of my ****s but still made it ! If you have the right attitude, u alrdy secure half of the victory liao. good luck!

for real? then which year are you in now?

i believe for iicandy case, he wants to do 5 NEW mods and 1 retake which is not possible in final year.

if you are under the old regulation, you can take 4 NEW mods and 2 resits in the final year
