True, and I used to have Ativ book 8, about the same depth as this model, and the sound is very sweet to my ears. And yea many laptops do have crappy sounds, probably because most manufacturers don't see the point to invest in higher quality speakers when external options are widely available. Most consumers prefer laptops under 1K, and cheap speakers will further bring down the cost. Heck, even a lot of high end gaming laptops don't have good sound! Still, people more jacka** like me carry laptops around a lot, so external speakers won't do me decent jobs.
Yeah i also feel that way. Carrying portable speakers add up to the weight and the dynaudio speakers is just as loud or louder than razer ferox which i sold it when i got the msi gt60. I also don't really like headphones or earphones as they make my ears feel tired or fatigue after some time.
I think the audio on the msi is the deal breaker for me. Shortly after i bought the alienware m17x and compare them both. The dynaudio is still slighty better but the alienware sounds good n loud too at full volume without distortion.
Not much laptops on the market now can crank up loud music or sound at full volume and sound good with clarity without distorting.
