Likewise, others not being safe drivers doesn't mean you should follow and make the roads more dangerous than it already is. End of the day, the one getting into accidents and harm's way is you and the people around you.

As for your example, you suddenly change into my lane without signal, i can't slow down in time and hit you. Rest assured, with my car camera evidence i will claim you all the way. Not only will you foot the repair bills for my car, you will also suffer whiplash injury for life. Stop behaving so cocky with your limited road experience, you will be on the losing end.

is it? i heard taxi drivers saying if you hit the rear end of other vehicles in any situations, you are still at fault and liable to pay for the damages..best to settle privately.if not can claim from my insurance...if go on a legal battle..both parties will suffer a big hole in their pocket..

Also in a situation when pedestrian cross the traffic light junction when the green light is in favour of the drivers..if you hit the pedestrian, you are still at fault...

if my video cam recorded that u are not signaling and swift into my lane and being 1st lane, my speed is already very fast, there is no way i can react and jam brake as it will cause chain collision to the cars behind me.

u confirm lose the case.

Do you drive a taxi or merely listen to hearsay from taxi drivers all day long?

Not every rear end accident is the fault of the car at the back. With sufficient evidence to prove, the car in front when at fault will bear all damages. When we say claim you all the way or claim you gao gao, it means claim all damages from you, all damaged parts change brand new, no compromise no negotiation. My workshop wants to chop you, they will chop you all the way too.

Choosing to settle privately or claim insurance is up to you, depending if you have sufficient cash. No cash to pay for the repairs? Sure claim your insurance by all means. However your next insurance premium will increase. And if your damages claimed is of very high amount you will have a tough time getting an insurer in the future. Especially so when you are a new driver.

Legal battle? You do not even want to go there, when you are clearly at fault, you will bear all legal fees plus further damages.

As i have said before, end of the day you are the one who pay and suffer when you choose to drive dangerously. Not me, nor any of us in this forum giving you sound advice.

haha..i am not the worst lot..in fact yesterday i took a cab from bugis to yishun..along lentor way passing by khatib mrt.the taxi driver changed lane from centre lane to the first lane..i asked him why he never open signal before he changed lane..he said if he opened signal..the vehicle on the next lane will still not give him the slot to switch to the next lane..any views on this?

Tat is the reason y taxi caused most of the accidents.

dun read too much on the theory...it is always case by case scenerio..like there is once i drove at 72km/h on a 60kmh road..by right it shld kena 4 pts demerit pts and $120 fine..in the end...thank god is just a warning.. so does not always go by the book....
