Do I have to do:
l--LAN Port3-->(WAN port)-- HG256--(RJ11 port) --> Phone (for fixed voice)

I'm using 100M and I've re-contracted my plan and upgraded to 200M this afternoon. Is the instruction here applicable to me? Why do I need to connect HG256 to router to get the fixed voice? Can I just connect it to the black ONT?

The M1 CSO told me now the phone line can be directly connected to ONT, and HG256 can be returned to M1. I forgot to ask him when I can do the switch, but I remember he told me by tonight the speed will be 200M. However, I reconnected everything just now but it doesn't work. It seems the new 200M fiber is still not up. I think I should wait for a while.

M1 normally do the upgrade after midnight.

In the mean time, for those who are on black/white ONT + RG previously and WANTED to setup the N56 while waiting for the upgrade, steps at post #7002 are applicable in order to get internet via N56's LAN port 1,2&4 and voice via RG at port3 of N56.

For those using Black ONT, once you're on the above setup, and suddenly cannot access internet, you know that M1 has upgraded your plan. You should now set back the Select ISP Profile to "None" and reboot N56 while you plugin the phone direct to black ONT's "TEL1" port. After you confirmed LAN port 1,2,3,4+Wifi can access internet and fixed voice is working, you can return the M1 RG.

Then post #7002 don't apply to you, and N56 should be set with default settings. Make sure Select ISP Profile is set to "None" for your case.

Black ONT (Lan port #1)-> (WAN)N56 (any Lan port)-> PC

Hey guys, kinda need help badly here. I actually need to connect my new fibre 200mbps black modem to my previous Huawei white rg due to incompatibility issue of the new linksys ea2700 router with my wii.
When I connect the Huawei router to black modem, it does not get Internet connection. Also, is anyone getting issues with wii and linksys ea2700? I really have tried hundreds of ways to get it to work but no avail.
Anyway the wii error code I got is 52130, which means there's connection to router but no Internet access. I have some IT background knowledge so I have done some of the mandatory checks.
Hope someone has an answer here, thanks!

maybe u try to explain from the start

why go back white ONt with the RG?
what black modem?

or u not sure take a pic of your equipment

what m1 provide now is
either white or black ont
and RG which is for those under old white ONT
then from there it link to your router

Wonder if any kind and experienced bros can help me troubleshoot my network.

I'm currently on M1 100mbps from 2 years ago, using white ONT, Huawei router HG256 in the living room, and ASUS USB-N53 in the bedroom.

When I use speedtest.net to see how fast my internet is, I'm getting a low download speed, around 10mbps.

What am I doing wrong, and how can I improve my internet speed?
Please feel free to ask for any additional information needed. I'll try my best to provide with my limited IT knowledge. Thanks :)

Call M1 to replace the white ONT to the black one, it is FOC. I had lots of problem and they just replaced it 2 weeks ago, after much delay which they claim due to opennet backend. Now the internet is faster and more stable.
