With IEMs? Its not really built for IEMs. Too much power. Centrance offers a mod if you are going to only use it for IEMs.

coz i see those ppl at head-fi say no hiss with iem,
plug in got hiss liao. but not as bad as mass kobo thou.
but the m8 doesn't seems to drive the akg annie well also.
tried all gain setting like very lifeless like tt
duno is demo set no power or wad

Yup, the shop sells pretty mainstream stuff, nothing out of the blue like HE-90...
but it has some nice pricing compared to online sites like Treoo...

They have better pricing for ALO stuff than E1. Much better.

Not sure if u ever realize that AKG 702 make 99% of portable amps sound weak
Not exactly the best headphone to audition portable stuff

Coz if u do, u'd use other cans
So I'm thinking it's a user problem here

Mine had no problem driving vintage orthos and several full size cans in balanced mode at the meet last saturday. On battery also.

i guess maybe balance. cos the akg do not have balanced and try using single ended mode. and from what i read at headfi, they say that the m8 single ended mode is as good as balanced. so maybe this part need you to verify it

the m8 was created to act as a replacement for desktop amp,
and there are ppl on headfi selling desktop rig stating that this amp can well replaced their desktop setup. and i didnt know akg cannot be used to test desktop set up? probably need your ayon level of amp then can test.

mk3b have hiss but not as jialat as china portable amp that i tested for your info. and i am also just making a joking comment out of it i didnt know u so "protective" of china amps. i also always state that china new sound sig is channel imbalance too. wanna flame me for this also? please do so now. you are welcome to do it. feel free to do so.
