if apple keep producing same old design and being lazy yet greedy to milk all existing apple fans, not hard to see this company is going to be like Nokia, gone soon....

I agree, I think people don't understand technology. you literally are changing from a 32bit to 64 bit architecture for one thing, think about it, how many of you used windows xp 64bit for your home pcs, yet nowadays windows 7/8 64bit is common and very mainstream, no longer have driver issues/printer driver issues etc.

how much can you expect a phone hardware to improve? about the only thing they couldn't add but could is NFC i think.

just like your windows xp pc in 2001, now 12 years later there isn't any "substantial" upgrade in technology. you only go smaller, cooler, and more efficient, even chasing Ghz in processor speed is a thing of the past. Almost everything your windows 7/8 pc today can do, your windows xp pc also can do (just slower)

so its the same with phones. which are just basically mini computers. when you put things into perspective, (eg: the apollo moon missions launch computer had all the computing power of a musical christmas card) and the iphone in your pocket today has more computing power than all the computers in the world sometime in 1969-1997 (ie: a ps3 has more computing power than a 1997 us military super computer)

so we now have the iphone 5s that is a doubling of processor power from the iphone 5. and that is actually a huge technological feat.

I think people just want lasers and phasers on it so that it functions like a star trek tricorder+ phaser.. oh and toss in a replicator and teleporter too

i don't really agree. i think there is a lot of things iPhone can improve. Battery life, waterproof, dust proof, slimmer, larger screen without larger form factor (lesser bezel), more durable, 16GB RAM, 10x optical zoom, 4K camera, 256GB storage, LTE advanced, full OS X in iPhone, bendable screen, built-in projector, etc.

also add in a teleporter, lightsaber, holographic communicator, pepper spray too. damn innovative.

We can talk until the cow come home and how little change there is from 5 to 5S blah blah blah but one thing is for sure - iphone 5S/5C will confirmed sell out easily on the first day and people will pay way above RCP price to get it.

Haha.. Is the two years or 21months up?? If not how to change?? Btw I'm one whom had used most platform and guess what. My main phone is still a ip5 and going to get a 5s gold.
My secondary is android and BB. Android will lag as time goes and the typing on android is not a good experience or maybe I gotten the wrong android?? Bb is good especially with bb10 however the killer is the lack of apps.
Ip5s with ios7 will be a good combination. Loving the refreshing feel ios 7 is giving.

A phone should be portable and fits well in your pocket. I'm happy with the screen size of iPhone and I hope it won't follow the ridiculous screen size of Note phones. Want a bigger screen? You have a tablet to fulfil that area. I think smartphones have reached the maturity stage whereby people are expecting too much from it.

For me, I will go back to buy an iPhone for the below reasons,

1) Great App store with plenty of decent apps/ games. That said, the content may be more expensive than on the Google Play Store.
2) Prompt OS update. Prob with my experience with Android based phones, that are not part of the Nexus series is that the update takes forever to trickle down.
3) Optimized applications. My experience, if a 3rd party app don't work well on iOS, it will be less likely to work well on an Android device.

I may be wrong, but these are personal reasons why I came back to the iOS ecosystem after trying out Android for about 3 years. Big screen is nice, but I do feel current flagship phones are sporting too big a screen for my liking. For me 4.5 to 4.7 is just about right. The lack of useful/interesting applications on Android don't really make the most use of the screen estate and powerful hardware.

I do agree that current iPhone screens are still a tad too small. Can be quite tiring reading websites after work when my eyes are tired. But I don't think screen size really improve the user experience a whole lot. In fact, those phablets are nowhere here or there in terms of design. Think going out for a run with it seems quite dumb for me. For guys, this usually means holding in our hands if we don't bring a bag/ pouch out. If I were to carry a device on my hands all the time, I rather it be a 7 or 8 inch tablet.

Phablets are however, good for watching a movie on the go though.

You still can use Android for 3 years. I used it on Samsung Tab2 for two, three weeks, gave up. Now use it to watch videos. The bloody unstable apps, really can't make it. Always hang, and datas lost, contact numbers also lost... Real nightmares for me. Luckily I had back up those important datas, or else seow leow...:s12::s12:
