basically i don't know how much a APS sensor cost... is the sensor most expensive in a camera body?

If the repair cost is around $600 - $800 quoted by Sony, I think the dealer will ask me to choose something else from his shop... rather than asking me to repair.

so I need to achieve high repair cost...

the magic arm is available for more flexible maneuver but i wouldnt trust my gear with it.

you can use it with your ballhead and it will work just fine.
