Good size but carrying it an issue .protruding out from pocket .so use to S3 .n am a belt pouch man. For z ultra need n ultra pouch too hahaha.overall am happy tired of Samsung anyway

I'm tired with Sammy increasing bloat installed on their phones. Hence, is that why Note 3 needed 3gb of ram?

Agree with that, they have new features for Note 3 like the pop up menu when you pull out the stylus or point and hold the stylus onto the screen and also the drag and drop for the multi-tasking. Of the multi-window feature.

If you notice the trend :

Note 1 - 1GB Ram
Note 2 - 2GB Ram
Note 3 - 3GB Ram

So you will expect that this trend will continue for the future Note 4 and above as Samsung will put more bloatwares in their future Note.

I just got one too.. the camera is pretty bad, even in broad daylight there's a lot of noticeable noise in it.
Still sticking to my Nokia Lumia 1020 for everyday use, but overall.. good phone with excellent build quality.

certain things like WALKMAN, icons reminds me a lot on my old Sony Ericsson w890 years ago :)

How would you call that a con when it only have 8 megapixel with nothing spectacular for that camera. It performs like a 8 megapixel phone. So what do you really expect? The only cons, you can list out is either, battery life, heating up, poor build quality etc. But so far Z ultra don't disappoint. To add on, there is nothing wrong being a fan of any brands. I don't go around saying, hey you Samsung fan boy etc. Come on.

megapixel != quality.
Look at HTC One with only 4MP but really good low light performance,
or
Nokia Lumia 1020 with 41MP, interpolation that produces a ridiculously high quality 5MP photo that's unmatchable even by some DSLRs and 4x lossless zoom..

It depends on the optics, lens, pixel size, and software. Not megapixel.

You misunderstood what I meant. With a small sensor and 8 megapixels, what do you expect from it when compared to the same small sensor with 12/13 megapixels nowadays. Megapixel doesn't mean everything. However, from a phone camera sensor, do you really think lesser megapixels means less noise? Lumia 1020 with larger sensor will be able to get more light on to the sensor, with the bright Zeiss optics, it will definitely take photographs better than Z ultra. For HTC One, good low light performance, however, does it capture details well? Anyways, Xperia Z ultra isn't marketed for it's camera quality, it is their big screen and water resistance.

ah I see.. but I would expect this to be better :(
The noise level is just too high to be okay to me, even the Lumia 520 that cost $150 produces better photo.

Yeah, Z Ultra camera isn't really good compared to Lumia. Some people who don't really care about smartphone camera won't really mind i guess.

Here's some photo shootout test. All auto setting

Nokia Lumia 1020:

Xperia Z Ultra:

Nokia Lumia 925:

Nokia Lumia 520:

iPad Mini:

Nokia Lumia 800:

Overall, its a great device if you want it for media consumption, gaming, and all day long battery life. Certainly they didn't advertise this with a great camera.

Camera should look into Z1. Z1 test sample from XperiaBlog for low light is very good.

Yeah... if don't mind the smaller screen, Z1 is a better choice.

Btw the display is just gorgeous :D a lot better than the crap AMOLED, plus I've been using it ever since it was purchased 5 hours back. I'm still having 40% battery now.

One thing I detest about windows phone is the lack of wallpaper. I dont need my wallpaper to always show on lockscreen only. :s13:
