a slow walk can take 15 minutes to Chitlom station and less than 10 to Central World.

generally Pratunam is quite safe as its a popular tourist area. I would suggest getting a hotel along Phetchaburi Road. some hotels are located where you need to walk through back lanes and side roads. could be uncomfortable after dark.

there's tailors around but no idea how good they are.

unsafe for bags. watch out for ur bag at pratunam market when it gets crowded. there have been a few cases reported on bags getting cut to steal the wallet. since u hv young children, i suggest staying nearer to BTS. the walk is not pleasant under the hot sun, especially if u need to carry ur kids haha. n also when u r nearer BTS, it is more convenient to travel elsewhere without walking much.

Pratunam to Centralworld is around 10 min walk, but the weather is so hot over there under the sun haha.

Then how about Amari Watergate? Is it near Platinum Mall, BTS and central World? Can walk? I see the map like can walk but how is the actual walking distance?

Pratumum got wat things to see and buy? Or just go to plantinum mall can liao?

shopping and eating street snacks. platinum mall and pratunam are comparable. the former is air conditioned and more organised, the later has cheaper prices and some styles of clothing more suitable for middle-aged/older people.
platinum mall is just across the street from pratunam centre so you can visit both.

advise you do pratunam in the morning (opens 7/8am) then go to platinum (opens 11, most stores fully open at 12)

can also consider chaktuchak, bobae market, saphan phut market, terminal 21 and asiatique.

haha yea. there used to be more mystery hotel deals with bf included. this yr, they seem to remove the bf option and price remains the same.

Is the mystery hotel deal roughly the same throughout the year? Or do they change?
