Finally planned most of it liaozz
just need the Gurus here to vet...
just a few thing more to book as i can only book 3 months before the trip
This is a trip for 8 people... majority 1st timers, 6 person above 50
-not intending to book driver in Taipei... to cut costs as requested however will consider if its cheaper
-Costs of booking driver i set at 7000 for 9 seater
*timing is based on a rough gauge

Day 1
1200pm reach Taoyuan Airport
1200-1230 collect luggage and get data sim- 600nt
1230-1345 Check in Hotel ECFA Kunming - 22592/8= 2824nt
1345-1445 Lunch in XMD
1445-1500 topup easy card 500nt
1500-1800 Maokong Gondola, catch sunset
1900-2030 Houshanpi/Wufenpu/Raohe night market
2100 onwards Ningxia night market- zhongshan station

830-915 travel to Beitou
930-1000 Bus230 to yangmingshan stop
1000-1400 Bus 108 60nt all day tour yangmingshan/lunch
1400-1430 back to beitou via 230
1445-1600 explore xin beitou area/beitou park/beitou hot spring museum/Geothermal valley/manlai hotspring Ramen
1630- 1700 Travel to Damshui
1700 - 2000 Damshui Night Market/fisherman's wharf *bus -26,836 or 837red
2000 onwards back to XMD and free n easy

Day 3
0800-0915 rise/shine breakfast
0930-1030 travel to Xindian
1030-1130 Xindian to Wulai*bus 849 40nt / cab 100nt per pax
1130-1245 lunch
1245-1500 explore Wulai old street/ try hot spring by the river/Wulai waterfalls
1500-1600 wulai back to Xindian
1600-1645 Xindian to XMD
1645-1730 rest
1730 onwards Taipei underground mall/shilin night market

Day 4
0700-815 breakfast rise and shine
815-830 Travel to taipei main station
830-1000 tra to Rueifang
1000-1030 Rueifang- jiufen *cross the road and take a bus to Jiufen. The bus stop is just next to the Wellcome Minimart.
1030-1400 Free and easy Jiufen
1400-1530 Bus back to Rueifang , TRA to Shifen
1530-1630 shifen waterfall areas
1630-1900 shifen old street/ sky lanterns
1900-2100 shifen > rueifang>Taipei main station>XMD, free and easy XMD

Day 5
0800-0915 rise and shine
0915-0935 travel to Taipei Main Station
0954-1100 Taipei main station to Taichung 765nt
1115 to 1700 book driver for Dahu strawberry farm/NanZhuang area 7000/8=875
1700-1830 back to hotel checkin hermit crab hostel 7280/4= 910nt
1830 onwards Dinner+ free and easy fengchia night market

Hi

Not sure if 9 seater van can fit 8 pax plus luggages. I think a 9 seater van with driver plus petrol shd be abt 6k twn. (Driver settle own accomodation)

I think u shd get the driver to pick u from Taipei instead of hsr to Taichung. The driver cost is same for my driver.

If you r looking for cherry blossom then u need go to 九族.

I was expecting to see wuling farm or alishan for a Sakura trip but..

im still sourcing for driver though... it does seem ridiculous to take HSR and then book driver

your day 4 don't want to include jinguashi? since u r so near it in jiufen?

Ya jiuzhu at sunmoonlake.

Although wuling farm is at Taichung but nearer to yilan. Went this yr feb. pls note wuling farm need to book bus tic during cherry blossom. They restrict only people who booked hotel rooms can drive up. It super crowded but very beautiful if u hit the blossom timing.

Another place I went is lala Shan 拉拉山. Oh the cherry blossom also very beautiful. Went at right time!

For cingjing avoid stay on sat nite. Super ex. Sheep
Show only on wkday. 2 timing morning and early pm.

I will KIV 1st since it's just along the way to jiufen

Yeah for CingJing... only staying on thurs and fri... I last stayed at Cingjing over the weekend in april... kenna before liaozz hehe

I was wanting to stay in cingjing for 2D1N but think like too rush... also... thats why i wanna take out Alishan... cus i have to consider transportation time to travel... plus the costs as well...

Kill off cingjing and u will have time for alishan..

Anyway, wuling is recommended by Taiwanese for Sakura instead of alishan. And if I rem correctly, wuling will blossom in the early part of the season.

there is a temple near danshui that has nice sakura. rem seeing photos before but cant remember name. only rem a 天in it. maybe ts can check that out since going danshui?
