Totally without any warning, Category 4 Super Typhoon Utor just blew this in from Hong Kong late Thursday evening... till then, I wasn't even the least aware of the existence of this new Corsair creation. And the near zero info on the www just makes this all the more oh là là intriguing...

More to come tomorrow, way too late for any unboxing now... no matter, quite sure Corsair fans would have little trouble guessing what this peekaboo is all about (Unsubtle hint: no, definitely not about anyone's upsized bust).

Kudos to the HK team for operating under all weather conditions, Cat 4 Super Typhoon or not... Corsair delivers, dem power lah!

By the great howling winds of Utor (and courtesy of the hardworking Hong Kong guys, simply love HK!), it seems these photos were inadvertently leaked from the great pirate mothership, Corsair USA (founded 1994)... enjoy these pics and info while you can before one of the infamous pirate Beards come after me cos this is supposed to be still under the No Don't Ask time frame.

Aha, spotted it! The early tell tale sign of an Obsidian case... the elusive high end Corsair Obsidian masking tape!!!

Congratulations to the few early birds who managed to catch the photos cos now it's crackdown time... too bad, have to wait till NDA is over before you can view them again. Just received marching orders from Missy A.L. Beard to walk the plank or freeze the leak... gulp!

My world is now in a blur... just like the present photos.

btw fellas, for now the NDA is supposed to be 24 Sept!

A few bits of info can possibly be gleaned from this, here's my 2c worth.

The Corsair case department
• is aggressively expanding with many new & updated models* recently
• has well kept secret projects below detectable levels like this 750D, more incoming... mITX cases next, maybe?
• has seemingly moved from behind schedule (remember the 900D delays?) to being far ahead of schedule (final 750D case is here but NDA is > 1 month away) - superb turnaround!!!

*The Obsidian 700D is 3+ years old while the 800D is almost 4 years old so the introduction of a new 750D model is most timely

And I really like this palpable sense of urgent renewal I am seeing here.

Kindly accept my humble apologies, a small time hobbyist like me makes do with home flooring backdrop and a 7 year old point and shoot digicam.

I do try to make up for it with my enthusiasm and interest most of the time though. But when I grow up, I intend to use a proper photo studio and a DSLR to make up in some ways for my lack of photo skills.

Frankly, i prefer your pics.... HWZ editorial only show the advertised parts, whereas you show the main points that we, DIY builders would be using and how useful it would be.

I do try to gear my threads to endusers and more hands-on discussions as a longtime DIY hobbyist like many here. Think better not to make it a job else it becomes work and my output may end up like what you get when you are forced to do a chore.





PS: As a solo flyer, my enthusiasm and energy levels sometimes fluctuate with the general population happiness with the current COE price levels.
