Just to share if you are on padavan firmware.

TURN OFF in the Advanced Settings :WAN - Internet connection

Hardware offload NAT/Routing IPv4:OFF

After turning it off, my speedtest measurement was able to match up to the advertised fibre speed.

May I know before padavan, on stock firmware, how much speed can u get on wifi?

When on wireless, I'm getting an average of 40mbps in another room. I'm on 200mbps plan.

Would getting a wireless mini USB adapter boost the signal? Maybe something like this:

PROLiNK - Challenge The Limit

Thanks in advance!

getting so small might not work as good
go get adaptor with real anterrna
if not u might need to pay more again
unless u don't mind to experiment

boost signal? arent u getting excellent signal strength now. i dont think getting adaptor gonna help if none of ur devices ever hit near 200 whilst near the router.

hey ppl!! i just got my things installed(de black ONT and N56U) without editing any setting and stuff. but my speed for wired was 90-100mb download, 70-90mb upload. wiress to laptop was 30-40 mb for both down and upload. i even install padavan FW but my speed just cant reach something which looks acceptable. can some experienced ppl over here give me a help plssss. thx alot :)

ps. i upgraded from 100mb fiber to 200mb fiber, my speed was still around the same which i felt abit sad other than the upload speed was faster than before nia.

hey guys, currently they giving out asus 56u for the default dual band router, can i ask is it worth upgrading to the ac66u modem for $135 ?

please advice!

if u go wirless more often than wired then ac66 is more worth it
over n56

like myself i go for ac66 for more future support if i upgrade to more 11ac device
allthought i am on wired mostly

like now i got s4 which support 11ac
and soon i going to upgrade my macbook to new macbook which support 11ac
and handdown my old 2011 macbook pro to my parent :)

haha sorry if I missed it
too many ppls asking can't keep track
if connect to ont direct still same old paid speed try call m1 liao if they insist it already upgraded try power off & power back ONT and test again and remember to renew your comp ip

if still same do u have a diff lan cable to test ?

mine was LAN cable can't go pass 100mb even it a cat6
until I switch cable then I found out what really happen as mine speed already boosted on the next day I renew mine plan from 25mb to 200mb
