You didn't get the 865L? Thought all new customers are given that instead of the DVG now.

The only reason I bought my own router (N56U) instead of complaining to SH about the really horrendous DVG is because I wanted a router that operated on the 5GHz spectrum. Now that SH is giving a 802.11ac router (that works on 5GHz) you should try to get them to give it to you.

What's the 3rd-party router you are using? If SH has not yet done direct-ONT for you (direct ONT means you can use your own router connected to the ONT straight) then any router other than the DVG will not yet work.

using ASUS rt-n66u DARK KNIGHT BUT NOW THE SH GUY HAVE NOT CALL ME YET AND IT IS STILL DOWN

not all routers are the same even when using the same wireless standard. But the Asus he using is quite good so not hardware issues.

But as promise that it be up after 6 from phone. Seem like they fail to deliver hor.

Did you still have the DVG with you?

Accordingly to what I know, you should be still able to connect with the DVG and upon your start to lose connection, plug your Asus router to port 1 of the ONT (double confirm with them) and bounce your ONT by swtching off and on.

Confirm plus chop. The person u spoke to will be on leave or MC. so nobody knows abt ur case but it's in the system to the attention of the tech Dept. They only got 1 job to do so no or little ownership of pride. Alittle like Polyclinic doctor syndrome.
But till this pt. Still dunno if u have any internet connection. Is the modem even online? May not be router. Modem down router u only get network no internet.

To be fair, the ONT isn't managed by SH so they actually have to get another agency (NucleusConnect I think?) to do the config for you/them.

Huh?
what I'm trying to say...is Asus brand is reliable for this model of router so this somewhat eliminate hardware issues.
And by today's standard...everything is almost at a click only. For direct ONT is nothing more than clicking on a computer. No need to install new equipment rewire etc. And why in the first place give less choices to consumer by limiting the equipment we use. Who benefit. Like EPL fight here fight there we the ppl pay more.
