As you guys may have known. recently the touchscreen of my iocean went bonkers and i was thinking of sending it for repairs at the local shops.

since the phone is well fine except the screen, and the phone has already have apps which were already login ie Mail, Google Play Store, how do i prevent unauthorised access remotely?

i would believe it would take a day or so for repairs and the phone would be with the repairman. once it is working, maybe he would fiddle around.

can we do something about it??

if it is within the $30 compared to the online price, i think i will get it in sls.

anyway for those looking at THL phones, this webby seems to have a better price than aliexpress but not sure if its reliable.

i heard that W7S will no longer be in production, and it doesn't really have a forum support compared to W8S.
yeah gonna take a deep hard look on the THL phones again before deciding a model!

that website is the official website ? maybe w7s no longer production cause replaced with w9? the thl w8, w100 and w200 each have quite a good review and support community.. im itching to get something to replace my w100 as screen is too small at 4.5" lol. even my s3 screen is too small in my opinion..
i actualy love the phone. GPS takes a while but once its locked, i find it to be slightly more better. using gpstest, the w100 accuracy is sometimes up to 4m whereas my s3 only 6m-8m and rarely 4-5m

I bought a few too many Iocean X7 ELITE screen protectors, would anyone like to trade for them?

btw have anyone flashed your stock rom, which is the best so far..I m still looking for the perfect one..tried 1-2 other roms but getting only 15551 on Antutu ...

Any other custom roms that can hit higher & possible to overclock this Phone ?

haha i had a haywire touchscreen on my 2nd one. sent back to the seller for repair, now back with me already. You can try to contact the seller?

yeah..xiaomi, umi are few of the well-known brands.

250 for x2 look quite good too. affordable.

really quite alot of stalls selling MIC phones..
but i think those are really chui ones or Star branded..
Only few stalls selling THL and Zopo ...

THL W7S selling at $260 at SLS, quite good value, close price to online...
but THL W8S at $360, really far from online price though...

You mean cheaper or more expensive than online shop? But sometimes SLS shop the phone dunno original or not. Their MIC phones the camera res. very bad and very different from the printed spec.

think the THL must be serious to buy than they reduce the price. i walk around asking price they gave standard answer now..

asked abt w300, the latest phone, they said its too high and not many people would want so not bringing in.. awww...

hey since alot of ppl looking at china phones, i summarise what are the important points noted by other bros.

MIC Phones should have
- 2G 1800
- 3G 2100
- preferably android, so that can update software
- must have good forum support like in xda, and have rom support
- same phone models have very different prices mainly because of difference in RAM and ROM
- buy from reputable firms
- MTK6589T, quadcore should be a good chipset
- reasonable SAR radiation
