Taobao's alipay also accepts international credit cards. 3% surcharge applies to international CC, regardless of DBS or Citi.
I just feel that the local banks are simply here to lure people in and trap them thereafter. On the surface, it seems that they are good cards but it comes with various conditions (transfer miles in blocks 10K/20K miles? and I have to pay $40/year for this nonsense) , and their rate of "reduction in benefits" is very high.
I don't see that from Citibank or ANZ, in fact I see that they are trying to improve their perks.
My view in the long term, don't take up DBS or UOB cards(ocbc is not attractive either) for your mileage accrual.
Purely for discussion purposes, I don't feel Citibank or ANZ is better in mileage accrual than DBS or UOB?
UOB gives 1.6 miles per $ ... with 20,000 bonus miles if you spend over $50,000 per year.
DBS gives 1.2 miles per $ (first $2k spend) and 1.6 miles per $ (above $2k spend).
I'm don't feel Citibank or ANZ is superior.
I carry UOB, DBS and Citi but not ANZ so I can't say for sure about ANZ being good or bad.
Any comments from other users?

Banks are the same, foreign or local.
Amex, Citi, ANZ, HSBC and even Maybank have all cut priviledges, perks and earn rates before. Just use what gives the best rates for now, and when it sucks, move on.
My biggest worry is that the notice comes too late for you to take action and you will be stuck with those unused points....
Like how Amex, Citibank have adjusted their rewards points system? I feel that you are biased against local banks. UOB have not change their rewards system, only DBS have done so but same goes for foreign banks but you choose to target local banks while sucking up to foreign banks.
UOB also have quietly adjusted their redemption ratios for certain rewards. Its just that its isn't that significant that many people don't actually realise it.Like how Amex, Citibank have adjusted their rewards points system? I feel that you are biased against local banks. Im using DBS Altitude and UOB One now, my main cards and my expenses are about 2k monthly.
Previously on Manhattan and Citi Dividend, but decided to boycott them since they took away all the main benefits.

Actually at this moment, i suck up to ANZ,Citibank and sometimes Maybank only. DBS, UOB and OCBC out.
Manahtten at 3% is still the best card arnd for big purchases. No need to boycott them la.
Your loss, given some of the best miles earning cards are from UOB. *shrug* 4 miles/$ on anything. Thanks!
Did anyone receive mailer from DBS?
Effective 1 December, DBS Altitude only giving 1.2 miles per $1 for local spend period.
No more 1.6 miles per $ for spend above $2,000.
