If really need to eat before continue journey to city, proceed to level 1 staff canteen, selling thai food at food court prices. Bowl of noodle soup or plate of braised pork rice will set u back 40-50 bahts

Yah, I actually like the braised pork rice at the airport staff canteen very much.

I went there by cab. But no driver is willing to run by meter because of the heavy traffic. Be prepared to pay and the bangkok taxi can take you anywhere.

they are quite strict with the ferry capacity. once quite full they move off. the frequency is quite high..so not to worry

ur concern is valid. there was a boat returning to pattaya from ko lan capsized several days ago. it was d last returning boat on dat day, so it was overloaded with last mins holiday-makers rushing to return to d mainland. later d boat ran into engine problem n capsized. 6 were killed on dat day n 1 more boy succumbed to his injury juz yesterday.
Six tourists killed after overcrowded ferry capsizes and sinks off Thai resort of Pattaya | Mail Online

but than, if u take cab 2 Asiatique, there is also a risk of road accident.

i mean at d end of d day, everyone juz has 2 take some calculated risks in what they do. ;)
